Marketing Coordinator

HDR is seeking a driven, energetic, and hands-on marketing professional to assist with business development, marketing, and strategic efforts for HDR's transportation markets. Working in a cross-functional environment, the marketing coordinator is responsible for supporting our marketing and strategic program activities. This includes working with marketers, project managers, and technical staff to develop proposals, presentations, brochures and other and other marketing materials. Assistance will also be needed with tradeshow planning and coordination.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conducting research and distributing marketing information
  • Writing project descriptions and resumes
  • Preparing marketing meeting materials and reports, taking meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Preparation/production of marketing materials, which may include proposals, qualifications packages, brochures, presentations, and social media efforts
  • Maintaining the marketing database, including gathering data from technical experts and entering data
  • Providing support for market sector development, including technical editing, document assembly, production coordination, /and a range of other marketing and administrative tasks
  • Facilitating internal and external meetings and presentations utilizing GoToWebinar and Webex


  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or other business-related fields
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Coordinator. Experience in the consulting industry is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required (grammar, technical writing, information gathering, research, etc.)
  • Flexible, organized, and responsible self-starter who enjoys a dynamic atmosphere and is able to work with, and take direction from, multiple levels of professional staff with differing professional styles
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize complex content
  • Skilled at working with deadline pressure and multi-tasking without a loss in quality
  • Proficiency with the following software is required: Microsoft Suite, Adobe products including InDesign
  • Knowledge of architecture, engineering, or construction field helpful, but not required
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
