Marketing Coordinator - Spectrum News
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, responsible for coordinating and implementing marketing materials and promotions. Maintain marketing data to track and analyze marketing campaigns and promotions. Report on customer numbers, marketing promotion results and effects on sales growth.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Coordinate and communicate with other departments regarding the planning, creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions and bulletins; oversee printing of materials; schedule billing inserts and/or other advertising arrangements.
Gather and consolidate data for marketing programs; create tracking system to report on sales projections, goals, and results.
Prepare monthly programming guide.
Assist with scheduling bill inserts or messages.
Request mailing lists and administer direct mailings.
Coordinate advertising for radio and newspaper.
Process marketing invoices.
Track promotion campaigns, customer numbers, churn analysis; identify through reports variations and trends in market.
Communicate with affiliates and vendors; make payment arrangements and review invoices.
Perform market research studies.
Communicate channel line-ups, changes and updates as necessary.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to reach with hands and arms, to bend, to talk and hear, and to read and use a computer
Ability to use, handle, and manipulate objects such as paper, pencils, keyboards, and mouse
Ability to work independently
Ability to work while seated for prolonged periods of time
Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, and stapler
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Knowledge of direct sales and telemarketing procedures
Knowledge of media and newspaper advertising techniques
Proficient knowledge of personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, Internet etc.)
Vision ability close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
College course work in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
