Marketing Content Specialist (Remote)

This is a two-year, full-time, limited-term position and is benefit eligible.

As a Marketing Content Specialist reporting to the Director of Content & Instructional Design, you'll join a cross-functional team from across the country who've been working as an effective virtual crew for years. This position will focus on revamping our Higher Education Marketing website in the US market, creating clear, valuable content for instructors, helping them make confident adoption decisions and enhancing their teaching experiences.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and find satisfaction and pride in delivering individual pieces that become part of a beautiful whole. A self-starter, you're highly detail-oriented, with the organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, reliably deliver on deadlines, and shift priorities according to business needs.

You see writing as content design: both art and science. Marrying campaign objectives with form and function to write persuasive, inclusive copy thrills you. You're a natural storyteller, bringing products and brand to life throughout our flagship website, as well as emails, blog posts, video scripts, infographics, case studies, flyers, ads, interactive content, and more.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $55,000 - $75,000K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary writer for our site migration project, provide a cohesive voice and ensure our message is consistent and compelling throughout the customer journey.
  • Assist with the creation of site maps and content migration for a large web project and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with designers and adapt existing content into new templates that provide meaningful, human, elegant, and inclusive user experiences aligned to campaign objectives.
  • Connect with product and campaign teams to gain a thorough understanding of the market, key personas, competitive product benefits, and marketing objectives to write consistent, targeted, and compelling marketing copy.
  • Unify information from multiple sources to solve problems, tell a consistent story, and simplify the user experience for our customers.
  • Quality check web pages in preview environment to ensure accuracy and intended user experience.
  • Edit and improve draft content by proofreading for grammar, spelling, accuracy, and house style; and revising for search engine optimization in alignment with business SEO strategy.


Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience writing for websites or other digital communications in content marketing, advertising, public relations, or related fields. Experience in education market a plus.
  • Understanding of responsive web design, user experience SEO, and accessibility best practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and collaborative editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft OneDrive, MS Teams, and project management applications such as Workzone a plus.
