Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Communication Specialist will work closely with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Learning & Development to develop and launch marketing/sales communications, promotional marketing campaigns, sales tools/collateral, sales training and request for proposals (RFPs) in support of company and departmental goals and objectives.

The person in this role can work virtually, but must be able to travel into the Bloomington, MN office as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute multi-channel demand generation, brand awareness and digital marketing tactics while meeting expected deadlines and budget parameters.
  • Produce, manage and coordinate marketing content projects, gaining approval of creative content, circulating the copy for review and editing where necessary.
  • Serve as the quality clearinghouse for written communications to internal and external audiences.
  • Measure, track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs and RFPs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with the marketing team and agency partners to create/update product literature brochures, sales tools and other content assets.
  • Evaluate all creative, sales tools and RFPs for relevance to target personas customers, conformance to brand standards in style, tone, and design.
  • Write and launch emails, blog posts, social posts, articles, and research reports while verifying and approving all facts in coordination with the Upstream and Downstream Marketing teams.
  • Support customer advocacy strategy by uncovering and developing customer testimonials, case studies and other customer proof points.
  • Ensure all internal and external marketing materials are effectively communicated and distributed to the sales organization to enhance their selling capabilities.
  • Manage and coordinate the RFP process working closely with the Sales team to ensure responses align with company messaging and brand standards and are delivered on time.
  • All other duties as assigned.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • BA in Journalism, English, Marketing or Communications preferred.
  • One-to-three years of experience developing marketing communications materials, managing RFPs and sales tools in a B2B environment.
  • One-to-three years of experience creating and producing high-impact, creative integrated promotional campaigns preferably supported by a portfolio of original work.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration with selling organizations.
  • Experience developing communications materials and strategic presentations designed for a healthcare audience preferred.



REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within monthly and weekly deadlines.
  • Team player that is reliable, flexible, positive, helpful and works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Writing and PowerPoint creative samples required.
