Job Description

The Marketing Automation Manager (MAM) plays a critical role in defining, enabling, driving and measuring scalable best practices and processes for automated multi-channel campaigns and lead management for Pearson Higher Education's B2B Marketing team. The B2B Marketing team supports the higher education sales team by engaging higher education faculty and administrators to drive awareness and adoption of Pearson content and platforms. The MAM reports to the Sr. Director, Content Marketing, a key member of the B2B Marketing leadership team.

The ideal candidate is someone who

  • Has successful experience using Pardot and Marketing Cloud to establish, measure, and optimize automated campaigns and is excited by the opportunity to put that experience to use to help inform and enable best practices across Pearson's B2B Marketing team
  • Enjoys working with and sharing ideas with multiple teams in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative, results-oriented, inclusive environment.
  • Stays current with CRM and MarTech software functions and features and is excited about helping marketers understand how they can take advantage of them


Responsibilities

  • Work with the B2B Marketing leadership team, Performance Marketing team, and CRM Technology team to define, document, and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in B2B campaigns and lead management
  • Consult with B2B campaign teams to drive best practice approaches to marketing automation based on B2B campaign goals and audiences including: list creation and segmentation; emails, forms, landing pages; personalization; and defining and measuring key metrics
  • Work with Project Managers to coordinate, align, and document planned campaign activities and calendars across campaign teams
  • Work with Performance Marketing team on plans for scheduling and executing activities across B2B campaigns including: email; digital channels; marketing automation set up/optimization
  • Work with Performance Marketing team and CRM Technology team to create and maintain dashboards and reports that document B2B campaign activities, effectiveness, and business impact
  • Analyze B2B campaign results vs. key metrics to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization
  • Work with CRM Technology team and Performance Marketing team to evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize the performance and impact of B2B campaigns
  • Educate marketers on marketing-related CRM and MarTech software platform functions and processes
  • Promote a transparent, accessible, and inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to learn more about themselves and others


The anticipated starting salary for candidates expressing interest in this position is $90K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3 years of successful experience with Pardot, Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce reporting, and a working knowledge of Tableau
  • Proven ability to understand, assess, and document approaches to lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, personalization, and other lead/customer management practices
  • Desire and ability to work with the marketing leadership team to define, enable, and drive scalable best practices across campaigns teams
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to successfully work across teams and functions to drive results
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to generate and communicate actionable insights from marketing data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
