About the Role:
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies and attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.
As PitchBook’s Software Engineer, Marketing you will be responsible for prospect movement through our Sales and Marketing funnel focused on lead routing, field mapping, pipeline health and system integrations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Own internal marketing tech stack through management and maintenance of our internal products
  • Design, build and launch efficient & reliable data pipelines to move and transform data
  • Securely source external data from numerous partners
  • Work closely with others within the team and with other teams across the company, specifically Sales and Marketing and Product teams
  • Identify opportunities and business problems and solve them with automation
  • Apply proven expertise and build high-performance scalable internal products
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience leveraging the below-mentioned skills in a production environment
  • Marketo or similar marketing automation platform
  • Experience with Python development
  • Experience in SQL and relational databases
  • Custom or structured ETL design, implementation and maintenance
  • 2-4 years of experience leveraging the below-mentioned skills in a production environment
  • Experience using JavaScript
  • Experience in Apex coding experience with Salesforce
  • Comfortable in a highly collaborative environment
  • Work closely with others within the team and with other teams across the company
  • Being able to work well with other technical or non-technical folks is a requirement
  • Apply proven expertise and build high-performance scalable internal products
  • Able to demonstrate good fundamental engineering skills and an understanding of core CS concepts
  • Comfortable expressing your thoughts in a programming language in Python, you should be able to demonstrate proficiency in it
  • Comfortable in quickly picking up new programming languages, platforms and tools
  • Design, build and launch efficient & reliable data pipelines to move and transform data
  • Work in AWS, inside EC2 instances or in Lambdas, using Python
