About the job
The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Account Manager to join us. In this role, you'll be part of the Open Studio: Brand Experience team, our internal creative agency that works closely with our creative teams to bring the Red Hat brand vision to life through various media forms. You'll serve as the key point of contact between our business, digital, and creative times to implement key marketing projects aligned to meet corporate and team goals.
To succeed in this role, you need to have great communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. You will regularly collaborate with other account managers, product and portfolio marketing managers, art directors, writers, designers, digital strategists, corporate communications team members, and project managers on internal and external projects. You should be motivated, capable of managing and delivering on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Strategize with internal stakeholders to shape and define marketing projects and ensure alignment along the way
  • Translate strategic plans and goals into defined deliverables and tasks for cross-functional teams to carry out
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects across creative teams within an agile project workflow
  • Manage communications with stakeholders, internal working teams, and external vendors or agencies about project plans, deliverables, and timelines
  • Communicate regular project and program updates to broader Brand Experience team in support of Global Marketing and Red Hat initiatives
  • Collaborate to deliver exceptional work on brand, on time, and on budget

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals in leadership, creative, technical, and business roles
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment

  • Ability to effectively provide, accept, and apply feedback
  • Understanding of and passion for open source
  • Clear communication and excellent language skills in English
  • Experience with marketing tactics, creative processes, and digital marketing
  • Experience working in a marketing or creative agency
  • Understanding of creative processes, design, and content development
  • Experience working within a collaborative, cross-functional marketing team


The following are considered a plus:

  • Familiarity with agile practices like scrum and kanban, and experience working with or on agile teams
  • Experience working in a technology organization
  • Experience working on a global team
  • Knowledge of Red Hat's portfolio of offerings and competitive landscape
