The Market Development Manager is an essential member of the Medtronic ENT Marketing team, reporting to the Global Downstream Marketing Director. This position has the responsibility to create and implement market development strategies and tactics in support of the ENT Strategic Plan for the Head and Neck and Otology portfolio, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are achieved globally.

*Medtronic ENT is based in Jacksonville, FL. This role is open to remote within the East Coast or Midwest region for well qualified candidates. Must be near a major airport.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop and lead execution of global market development plans and programs to drive adoption of new technologies, follow-on products, and/ or industries related to our Head and Neck and Otology portfolios.
  • Create near and long-range global market development plans to inform the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic planning processes.
  • Maintain a regular communication pathway with product marketing partners to ensure alignment and measure progress.
  • Represent the global business and be the subject matter expert on Head and Neck and Otology disease states for the Patient Access Accelerator (PAA) process, with the goal of developing strategies and measurable action plans to overcome barriers to adoption and improve patient access to our technologies.
  • Lead execution of market development programs to drive adoption of our technologies, including collaboration with the medical education and sales teams to deliver medical education and therapy awareness programs
  • Lead key opinion leader (KOL) and medical society/advocate strategy in therapy area with the Medical Education and Clinical teams to establish care guidelines, guide clinical evidence & value-based care initiatives to establish programs that drive acceptance of key procedures and technologies.
  • Identify additional global market opportunities for category growth and expansion, leveraging market research and VOC to assess market opportunities and trends.
  • Establish strong relationships with influential healthcare professionals including those in clinical and health economics.
  • Participate in the development of marketing collateral and necessary branding materials required to grow the therapy area and ensure safe and effective use of our products globally.
  • Build influential partnerships across global marketing, sales, medical education, and other groups to ensure the goals of the global market development plans are achieved.
  • Work with Upstream Marketing to influence investment decisions in technologies, therapies and services by leveraging subject matter expertise and global market insights.
  • Contribute to an environment of collaboration, trust, achievement and high engagement.
  • Travel up to 30%, domestic and international

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in marketing or sales, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years'

 

Nice to Have

 

 

  • Medical device background strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing marketing plans and programs with measurable leading and lagging indicators of success
  • Experience influencing teams and working in a matrix organization
  • Experience working with key societies and physician leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to balance development of strategy plus experience in bringing that strategy to life through execution.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally
