Job Summary
The Manager, Market & Competitive Growth Strategy will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects that will help shape Xfinity's future path to competitive differentiation across the Connectivity, Video/Entertainment, and Smart Home lines of business. Role will be responsible for assessing how key industry/competitive/consumer trends should shape Xfinity Consumer's future competitive positioning, messaging, branding/advertising, product/technology development, and business development efforts. We are looking for an innovative and analytical candidate with the passion for emerging product and technology trends, as well as experience working across a cross-functional group of stakeholders.

This key contributor will work with functional leaders across all of Xfinity's businesses including HQ and Divisional Sales, Marketing and Product teams, TPX, Strategic Development, and Corporate Strategy in addition to other Growth Operations teams.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day execution/coordination of a variety of strategic projects and analyses that will help shape Xfinity's future path to competitive differentiation, specifically focused on future positioning, messaging, branding/advertising, product/technology development, and business development efforts
  • Performs research and analysis on industry, peers, consumers, and competitors to deliver meaningful insights and actionable considerations/recommendations or business cases
  • Provide business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics and industry trends
  • Coordinates fact gathering interviews/sessions with internal and external partners and tracks key takeaways/action items
  • Prepares core deliverables, including research and creation of effective presentations to communicate strategic developments and recommendations in meetings/discussions with senior management
  • Key areas of focus include home broadband (including fiber and 5G home Internet), mobile, video/entertainment services, smart home, and convergence
  • Success will require this person to be passionate about the future product and technology trends and be able to translate industry knowledge into actionable insights
  • Extensive experience and proficiency with MSFT Excel and PPT is required, along with experience working with a variety of data sources.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications:

  • Background in consulting, product or corporate strategy or Cable/Telecommunications industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing models, complex analyses, and business cases
  • Ability to derive strategic insights in the face of complex and often incomplete information
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, while prioritizing tasks efficiently
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly grasp complex subject matter
