Job Description

As a content marketing manager, you will work with internal business partners and creative agencies to develop content- informed by insights and aligned with strategic objectives - to drive engagement with consumers. A key focus will be to support development of omnichannel content strategies and write and edit Ameriprise consumer content used across digital and traditional channels with clients and prospects. You will excel in your role due to your background and strength in creating excellent written, visual and video content, leveraging existing content, insights from research, channel experts and SMEs to identify the appropriate messages and content formats for various points along the sales cycle. This position reports to the Senior Director Consumer Content Strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Financial Services.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Ability to influence, communicate and interact with people at all levels across the organization and with external partners.
  • Experience working in or with creative agencies
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of high-performing team.
  • Self-motivated; able to work with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with digital design and online publishing best practices.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and support omnichannel content strategies for new and emerging capabilities, programs, and content topics that address audience financial goals and needs.
  • Write and edit consumer-focused content to align with omnichannel content strategies, consumer needs and business priorities. Distill complex topics into scannable, compelling content.
  • Work with vendors, agency partners and others to create content assets, including video and visual, for use across core consumer channels
  • Support and maintain consistent, accurate and high-quality content within a content management platform to support effective content strategies and initiatives
  • Work with key program and channel partners to help ensure omnichannel experience meets consumer content needs and expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of Ameriprise brand guidelines, AP style and key corporate messaging components to facilitate consistency across our channels.
  • Edit and optimize content to align within ongoing insights, metrics, and feedback from key stakeholders
  • Interact with subject matter experts and key stakeholders in an effective, timely manner.
  • Manage review and approval process
  • Work with analytics and channel partners to monitor content effectiveness and recommend improvements.



Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital content development and management.
  • Solid understanding of front-end interactive design solutions for back-end systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet compressed deadlines and timeframes.
  • Strong written communication skills and project management skills. Effective collaboration skills.
  • Interest in working in the financial services/highly regulated industry.
