We are looking for an enthusiastic and thoughtful International Communications Manager to join our growing Communications team! Reddit Comms works cross-functionally with executives and leadership across the company to launch new products, develop narratives, mine for stories and build up our thought leaders in an effort to shape the public’s perception of our brand, products and business in the U.S. and globally.

Location: Any of Reddit’s U.S. offices (SF, LA, Chicago, NYC) or remotely from within the U.S.

About the Role:

Reddit has grown exponentially in the past few years and has expanded to key markets outside of the U.S. including the UK, Canada, Australia and Germany, where we now have dedicated teams and offices on the ground, a growing number of local communities and moderators, and thriving local Advertising businesses.

Our International Communications Manager will be a crucial part of the Communications team -- reporting to our Head of Trade Communications and driving the wider team’s international communications strategies. This will include community spotlights and consumer storytelling, media relations plans, local and global thought leadership, product launches, events and all announcements relating to Reddit’s growth, momentum and trajectory outside of the U.S.  You will be responsible for managing our international communications agency teams based in the UK, Canada, Australia and Germany, acting as the day-to-day project manager for each market and main point of contact. You will be responsible for steering all international communications efforts and working closely with our Trade/Business, Corporate, Safety and Policy and Consumer/Product portfolio teams in the U.S. to ensure they are getting what they need from their international activities and our agency partners.

It’s an exciting time to join Reddit. We’re expanding our business, and are testing and innovating daily in an effort to tackle our mission of bringing community and belonging to everyone in the world -- our internationalization efforts are key to delivering on this mission.

This is the first internationally-focused role on Reddit’s Comms team, and thus comes with significant opportunity for focus and professional growth.  The position is available remotely, and thanks to Reddit’s recent workplace policy, your location will not affect your pay. This is a deeply cross-functional role.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Head of Global Trade Communications in building, executing, and measuring strategic communications related to Reddit’s business in markets outside of the U.S., across all Communications portfolios
  • Regularly refine, finesse and evaluate international market communications strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness

  • Partner with cross functional business teams to stay in-the-know regarding product plans, creative strategy priorities, community highlights, and large brand activations at the global and market-specific level

  • Work with global and locally-based executives on their public speaking including training, messaging and events

  • Quickly and successfully address media requests in a tactful, pleasant and professional manner, in collaboration with agency teams as required
  • Develop press-related materials like media alerts, pitches, media lists, executive press briefing documents, press kits, and internal emails
