We’re looking for a data-driven and strategic communications professional who brings creativity, organization, and digital savvy to their work. The Manager, Internal Communications will report to the Director, Internal Communications, in leading various employee communications strategies to increase employee engagement, build awareness around company initiatives, and enhance culture through events and activities. 

 

The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. They must have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the company and work collaboratively with people at all levels. This person is a strong writer who can craft clear and concise communications that articulate complicated business issues – making them digestible and interesting to the average person. They are results-driven and take pride in executing with excellence on projects small and large. They’re not afraid of change, enjoy trying new approaches, and can pivot priorities at a moment’s notice. 

 

What you’ll do:  

 

  • Develop communication materials, including newsletters, company emails, and presentations (PowerPoint) 

  • Manage internal intranet (the HUB) through drafting, editing, and posting weekly stories and other content, in partnership with the team editor 

  • Track and report on quarterly intranet results  

  • Partner with global communications and IT teams to enhance the Hub employee experience 

  • Develop strategies to drive employee engagement in partnership with HR and local office managers 

  • Plan and execute quarterly town halls in partnership with the broader team, developing agendas, prepping speakers, and working with IT and vendors to successfully set up sessions 

  • Manage video creation for pre-made event content such as Town Hall awards reels and pre-recorded leader messages 

  • Develop speaking points and support rehearsal and day-of execution for ongoing virtual and live events  

  • Manage and report out on survey results gathered from platforms like Qualtrics and Poppuloto drive action, turning data into insights and recommendations 

  • Serve as the team’s Trello quarterback, overseeing the management of Corporate Communications content calendar on Trello, organizing and updating content 

  • Become a Poppulo expert, sending ongoing communications such weekly digest recaps and executive emails Coordinate daily content on our digital signage network via Four Winds by partnering with our account manager to keep information current 

  • Help develop a strategy for Yammer and manage the channel for socializing relevant content 

  • Strengthen our working partnership with global colleagues, including providing input and sharing updates during monthly regional calls with Asia, Europe and partners in the Americas 

  • Serve as a consultant to internal teams like HR and IT when urgent communication needs arise 

  • Lean in on crisis communications during natural disasters, pandemic-related issues, and other “all hands on deck” moments, reviewing plans and weighing in on strategies 

  • Ensure that the company is measuring the impact and effectiveness of internal communications efforts to help inform ongoing communications practices and improve employee engagement  

To be successful, you’ll bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred plus 5-7 years’ relevant experience 

  • Track record of developing successful internal communications programs 

  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently 

  • Have excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Capability to build consensus at all levels and across the enterprise 

  • A positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset 

  • Excellent counseling and strategic thinking capabilities 

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with people at all levels in an organization 

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
