Meet Upside:

We created Upside to help communities thrive! Our retail technology uses the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick and mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cash back than any other product, and tens of thousands of brick and mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce runs through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our local retailers, the consumers they serve, and towards important sustainability initiatives. Our mission, values, and dedication to inclusivity guide our team of more than 200 people worldwide, and the quality of our culture is reflected in the impact we’ve had on communities nationwide.

About the job:

As Upside’s Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our internal and executive communications function. • Ensure communication messaging and materials are accurate, high-quality, and aligned with the company’s brand strategy

  • Consult with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various internal situations

  • Support leadership and company meetings by crafting messaging and programming

  • Partner with the broader Marketing, IT, and Knowledge Management teams to explore and recommend new channels or technologies where possible

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of internal employee events as needed

  • Measure and monitor the progress of internal communication strategies

What you need:

  • 4+ years of professional experience writing for a corporate environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Exceptional communication abilities – written, spoken, and listening

  • Editorial mentality that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it

  • Professional understanding of crisis management

  • Comfort with finding and learning new tools to enhance company-wide communication

  • Experience in a fast-paced company, preferably in tech

  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Self-starter work ethic, entrepreneurial personality

The fine print:

  • Worksite location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region!
