Job Description

Jitterbit is seeking a Director of Communications who will be responsible for developing effective messaging and communication strategies. They must create and oversee the creation of promotional and informative materials the company will send to the public; as well as oversee internal company communications and employer branding. They’ll work with multiple forms of media, including press releases and digital media, print materials, audio, and video and more.

The Director of Communications will work in a leadership role on the communications side of the marketing team, working to ensure the organization maintains a positive image by overseeing, and approving any company information or announcements before they’re released to the public.

· Make sure all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding

· Attend speaking engagements and hosting special events

· Own all public relations activities, including fielding media requests and press releases, management of outside PR firm and budget process

· Conduct quality control on all communications

· Oversee events

· Manage direct reports (2)

· Work toward developing relationships with media outlets and other companies

Qualifications

Experiences

• 5-10 years’ experience in communications, PR or marketing
• Bachelor’s degree
• Background in strategy and/or consulting in digital marketing; email marketing and SEO for PR
• Experience working with global teams
