In this exciting new role, you'll be responsible for owning one of the key brands in the Resident family and ultimately accountable for that brand’s continued growth.
We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial-mindset & excellent communication skills to work with industry leading colleagues remotely across the globe. The GM, DTC will lead the brand as a focal point for all Resident employees ensuring a shared understanding of what the brand represents and what the strategy is to take it to be a billion dollar business.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the brand’s direction across multiple functions including brand, product, marketing, operations, customer support and many others
- Identify and analyze business issues, opportunities and trends; and make the smartest decisions to address them to continue to move the brand forward
- Direct the digital product roadmap - an exceptional understanding of CRO
- Uncover and search for new business opportunities closely with our data team.
- Navigate various data sources to find opportunities in growing or improving a digital business
- Own key performance indicators such as sales, NPS, p&l and other financial metrics
- Develop the market understanding required to make an informed decision about pursuing new market opportunities, including rapidly developing the appropriate fact base and presenting it as actionable insight that drives a smart investment decision
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives to deliver key business outcomes
- Approach complex business problems in a structured way and drive rapidly towards insight with a strong business acumen
- Possess outstanding research, analysis, and writing skills and all around champion the brand
Who You Are
- The ideal candidate for this position will deeply understand the cultural landscape, have a strong digital branding mindset & performance & product marketing knowledge. Direct-to-consumer marketing experience is MUST while also desiring to achieve operational excellence.
- 5+ years of management experience in the DTC environment - preferably with a focus on product or performance marketing
- Solid understanding of user experience, on-site performance, funnel analytics, CRO & A/B testing
- A data-led approach to all key decision making processes
- Strong leadership, with the ability to influence an organization and execute successful initiatives while operating remotely
- Strong people leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Fast, flexible, and outcomes-oriented: able and excited to thrive in an environment with rapid cycles of analysis, decision, and action
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, ability to solve complex and diverse problems and to drive projects from strategy to execution
- Ability to think both creatively and strategically
- Highly skilled when it comes to working cross-functionally and building relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience owning a P&L and comfort making decisions based off financial analysis
- Highly analytical thinker able to develop or oversee quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights
- Proactive team-player with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills
- Experience and ability to succeed in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Excel at communicating vision and creating environments that motivate and inspire people to do their best work
- Able to facilitate the right balance between flexibility and scale
- Previous experience running a start-up or side-project a plus
