Job Description
The Zscaler SLED Field Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Marketing Contribution Pipeline by delivering thought-leadership, demand generation programs and experiences, in addition to relationship marketing that engages State, Local and Education prospects and customers. This role collaborates and partners closely with the Americas Marketing team, corporate marketing, channel marketing and sales organization to ensure alignment on overall plan and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage an annual U.S. SLED marketing plan that delivers engagements, meetings, and marketing contribution pipeline.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert and primary marketing contact for all SLED marketing
  • Develop a campaign and content roadmap for SLED. Work closely with the brand team to align creative and deliver messaging and content that is customized for this market. Drive placement across digital formats to ensure accurate and current content.
  • Execute a customer experience strategy leveraging global and regional events for both live and digital. Includes overall plan, project management, targeting, marketing operations, logistics management, communications, and performance management. Includes, but not limited to, industry trade shows, webinars, workshops, summits, customer and partner meetings.
  • Collaborate and partner with the U.S. State/Local Government and Education Sales team and channel account teams to align on target, segmentation and sales priorities in the region. This includes regular live and virtual meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing communications.
  • Work with the partner business development and channel marketing teams to understand best partner sales opportunities and develop co-marketing programs to drive business and increase partner engagement
  • Manage budgets, forecast and monthly performance scorecard (by objective and individual activity) with 100% accuracy.
  • Manage processes for marketing operations including campaign coding, lead flow set-up, customer journey, and program/event management.
  • Research, select, negotiate and manage contractors and/or agencies as required. Manage resources to complete projects and scope of work on time, within budget, with quality outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of field marketing, demand generation, and/or customer marketing experience
  • Experience marketing to state, local and education markets/ or public sector is required
  • Proven experience in meeting or exceeding pipeline goals, and driving funnel-based programs
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, team player with a "can do" positive approach
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, growth, environment with cloud and/or security experience
  • Deals with ambiguity and offers problem-solving and outside the box thinking
  • Strong planning, orchestration and project management capabilities to manage, prioritize, and deliver on key execution and deadlines
  • Travel up to 30% for internal and external meetings and events as needed.
  • Ability to time manage schedule and relationships in all required team, planning, performance, and sales meetings scoped for the role.
