GitHub is looking for an Email Marketing Manager to lead global email marketing strategy and execution. The Email Marketing Manager will collaborate with Marketers and Marketing Operations to execute email campaigns across key customer segments, personas, and geographies. Our ideal candidate has expertise with email marketing channel ownership, including audience segmentation, multi-touch strategy, A/B testing, and optimization for key email KPIs. Above all, the ideal candidate will build and optimize email campaigns that delight and add value to GitHub prospects and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Calendar and Roadmap: Collaborate with Marketing Managers to develop and document an email campaign calendar and roadmap. Optimize the calendar for customer experience and engagement. 
  • Campaign Creation and Deployment: Work with key stakeholders to understand audiences and priorities. Build multi-touch email programs, audiences, and assets for Marketing Operations to launch. Advise Marketing Operations on A/B testing to improve KPIs: reduce unsubscribe rates, hard bounce and soft bounce rates; and increase open and click-through rates. 
  • Maintain Email Campaign Health: Build and monitor reports across active email campaigns to ensure they’re functioning properly and actively address issues affecting program health and deliverability.
  • Establish Email Best Practices and Drive Channel Consistency: Monitor all email programs and work to implement best practices and consistency. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, and other internal stakeholders to create impactful email campaigns.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Email marketing experience developing automated and personalized marketing emails and triggered workflows (drip and nurture) for acquisition, engagement, and/or adoption campaigns
  • 1+ years' experience designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs, specifically lifecycle/nurture programs
  • 1+ years' experience with Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep technical knowledge of email best practices and A/B testing methodologies 
  • HTML Knowledge preferred
  • Have hands on experience in Eloqua, Pardot or Market

Minimum salary of $73,500 to maximum $156,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired in Colorado.
