The Director of Public Relations (PR) will design and implement a comprehensive global PR strategy. You will help take our storytelling to the next level by creating compelling PR campaigns working in close partnership with marketing, cultivating strong relationships with media, engaging target audiences, and boosting our earned media coverage and brand awareness. If you're a strategic, detail-oriented and creative PR professional who thrives in an energizing and fast-pace environment, we would love to meet you.
Our ideal candidate has both a B2B and B2C background in agency and/or in-house. You should have outstanding organizational skills with superior written and verbal communication. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications and Corporate Affairs, the Director of Public Relations will help to protect, defend, and advance Aristocrat Gaming's reputation within the media and with key stakeholders. This individual will help guide regional communications professionals, providing coaching and direction to achieve success, while mapping to the larger global strategy. Must have experience directly interfacing with and supporting C-suite executives, and crisis communications.
What You'll Do

  • Manage the PR agency day-to-day; providing feedback and guidance on campaigns, written materials, and tracking progress/updates
  • Help to manage regional team members, ensuring day-to-day activities map to larger strategy; provide feedback and guidance
  • Assist in creation of crisis communications plan, scenario mapping, messaging and preparation of executives
  • Partner with VP on building CEO and leadership team platforms and profiles; help write contributed content, messages, and speeches and in the voice of executives; prepare and staff e-team for various external and internal engagements
  • Work in close partnership with internal communications to ensure that our employees are aware and updated of external activities and events
  • Set objectives, goals and KPIs for the PR team and monitor team members' performance; responsible for MoM, QoQ and YoY success metrics
  • Maintain existing relationships with key media and influencers, build new ones; experience across trade, consumer, tech, business
  • Interest and passion for Corporate Social Responsibility/Corporate Affairs; high aptitude for connecting external engagement efforts through storytelling moments
  • High relationship-building skills; ability to work across business with key stakeholders
  • Experience in financial communications on behalf of a public company and rules/regulations around earnings
  • Manage sensitive issues to maintain company's good reputation


What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B or B2C in-house or agency
  • Solid understanding of financial earnings requirements with being a public company
  • Solid experience coordinating successful global PR campaigns
  • Expertise in different social networks, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company's spokesperson
  • Creative abilities
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals
  • BSc in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or relevant field
