Director, Product Marketing
About the Role
As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for building and scaling the Product Marketing function at GlossGenius. You’ll hire and lead a team of high performing Product Marketers and work cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, and other cross-functional marketing teams to spark engagement with our products with the ultimate goal of activation. You will drive the strategy behind product go-to-market plans with regards to pricing, packaging, messaging, ensuring a consistent brand message across all customer touchpoints. You will report directly to the Chief Business Officer.
What You'll Do
- Define and drive compelling product narratives and comprehensive, cross-channel, go-to-market plans and for new and existing GlossGenius product features
- Create customer personas to enable our internal teams to develop and sell GlossGenius to the right target audiences
- Develop core product positioning, pricing and packaging strategy for new products
- Build and mentor a team of product marketers
- Measure and optimize the impact of new features and go to market campaigns on brand awareness and retention
- Partner closely with the Demand Generation & Growth team to build targeted campaigns with the ultimate goal of achieving our user acquisition goals
- Work with the Content team to develop compelling, repeatable strategies that educate customers and potential customers in the product experience and drive new activations
- Partner closely with our Product and Customer Experience teams to understand our merchant needs and the broader competitive landscape within the beauty & wellness industry
- Lead market segmentation projects to help prioritize product opportunities
- Take a data-driven approach to campaign strategy focusing investments on the most impactful outcomes to drive activations
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years managing end-to-end product marketing at a fast paced consumer facing technology company
- An experienced leader who has built, developed and retained high performing product marketing teams
- Experience navigating ambiguous high-growth, fast-paced product-driven environments
- Passion for empowering small business owners to be successful; possess a high level of empathy our customers and a strong desire to deeply understand their needs
- Proven track record of developing and executing a comprehensive product marketing strategy
- Results-driven, with a passion for using data to build marketing campaigns that solve business problems, advance our brand narrative, and resonate with our member base
- A great communicator who has the ability to influence and build alignment across the organization, specifically within Product and Marketing organizations
- BS/BA in Marketing or related field
