ROLE SUMMARY/MISSION: The Director of Product Marketing will lead and manage all of Encamp’s product marketing. This person will be strategic in leading brand, and positioning and drive the execution of that vision. They will ensure Encamp develops compelling messaging, stories, case studies, videos, and presentations, and use them effectively across all direct and digital communication with all customer types. Partner closely across all departments, in particular with Product to collaborate on refining the first mile of the user journey to increase user conversion rates. They will also an emphasis on driving go-to-market and sales enablement efforts by partnering with the sales team closely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Product Marketing will: 

  • Iterate on current product positioning, value propositions, and messaging across Enterprise customers and prospects
  • Drive strategy and efforts for producing all sales enablement material to help arm the sales team for meaningful conversations 
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to produce case studies, testimonials, and champions from our customer group

Define go-to-market strategies for new product features and streamline the announcement process

  • Oversee the creation of our university and, maintain and optimize the internal learning curriculum and tools for the go-to-market teams

OUTCOMES: 

  • Successful development and execution of brand and sales enablement strategy across all communications
  • Effective creation and execution of go-to-market strategy
  • Creation of flagpole pieces of content, some of which is customer-facing
  • The consistent and regular creation of pieces of custom and scaled collateral for the sales and CS teams
  • Appreciation of metrics and understanding of how their work drives pipeline and revenue

HARD REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience
  • Product marketing background working in a high growth organization
  • Experience in SaaS working with enterprise clients
  • Knowledgeable and comprehensive understanding of frameworks to understand the customer journey, 
  • Environmental compliance experience a plus

  • Standout Communicator: Strong communication skills verbally and written pertaining to external-facing ycommunication for product positioning and internal communication for managing both up and down, effectively providing high-impact performance feedback to employees.
  • Strong Writer: Effectively position our existing and future products by communicating value propositions, and messaging across Enterprise customers and prospects. 
  • Detail Oriented and Organized: Ensure no stone is unturned as you build our content strategy and plans especially as we develop go-to-market strategies and define announcement timelines.
  • Big Picture Thinker: Evaluate the big picture business goals to align and realign our product and content strategy and positioning. Ability to think outside the box, develop creative ideas and constantly pivot and iterate on our current positioning and strategy in the marketplace.
