WHO WE ARE:

Talend, a leader in data integration and data integrity, is changing the way the world makes decisions.

Talend Data Fabric is the only platform that seamlessly combines an extensive range of data integration and governance capabilities to actively manage the health of corporate information. This unified approach is unique and essential to delivering complete, clean, and uncompromised data in real-time to all.

Over 6,500 customers have chosen Talend to run their businesses on healthy data. Talend is consistently recognized as a leader in its field by Forrester and Gartner.

We pride ourselves in our values of Passion, Agility, Team Spirit, and Integrity. Every one of our 1,400 employees brings a certain je ne sais quoi that makes Talend special.

In this strategic role, you and your team will be responsible for developing and executing Talend’s product marketing strategy for the emerging & fast growth segment. This role will be responsible for defining our go-to-market strategy for our self-service and sales-led products, and manages a team. We’re looking for someone passionate about ideal customer profiles and using ICP insights as a guide to develop targeted messaging and positioning, differentiated narratives, and compelling content that support demand generation, digital, and more. In this role, you’ll identify Talend customers that are realizing business value and transformational gains, and partner with the customer marketing team to celebrate their success.

You and your team will also support product management with primary and secondary research to uncover market trends and user insights, engage customers and support customer events, and launch new innovation. Additionally, this role will provide the right candidate an opportunity to present and lead discussions at customer meetings, company events, sales calls, and more.

Ultimately, the successful candidate will be focused on what it means to be a great leader to their team. They’ll be an invaluable partner to their colleagues at Talend, and have a passion for world-class marketing. If this sounds like something you’d be passionate about, we want to hear from you!

RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT

Specific responsibilities that this role will own include developing and evolving content such as:

Product marketing strategy & planning. Show off your analytical prowess and strategic thinking by defining the opportunity, audience, and marketing strategy. If you know something about building ICPs and how to create a SAM from TAM and a SOM from SAM, we want to speak with you ASAP!

·Messaging & positioning. Your new manager loves a good, well thought out framework.

·Narratives. Calling all storytellers! People don’t remember stats, and they definitely don’t remember slides. Got a story…about a story…that you’ve created? We want to hear it!

·Content. What kind of content can you build? What kind of content have you built with and through other teams? Show us! Inspire us!

·Research. The only constant is change, as they say, so keeping a pulse on your target market, customer base, and competitive landscape is necessary. And fun. And always enlightening.

·Launches. Sometimes you’ll lead, sometimes you’ll support, but your team will always be involved.

·Prospect & Customer Conversations. Some people call it “presenting.” But in this role, you’ll work hard to communicate by first understanding and then engaging.

·Leading a team. You’ll work hard for your team because they matter. Because you have shared goals. Because you’re better together.

·Being a great teammate. #bettertogether. #oneteamonedream. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork. And you’re good with virtual interoffice silliness too.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

·7+ years experience in product marketing at a high-tech company, or similar.

·Experience building ideal customer profiles and defining total addressable market to drive strategic discussions and planning.

·Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.

·Ability to research key personas and roles, and develop and test messaging, value propositions, positioning, and other sales-related content.

·Dynamic, confident personality with ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.

·Proven ability to speak in front of internal, external, and global audiences.

·Strong skills in communication, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally.

·Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence.

·Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
