We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join the Industry Solutions unit within Lenovo's Solutions and Services Group (SSG). The Director of Product Marketing will lead and build a team of Product Marketers who craft the unique value propositions for a growing range of vertical and horizontal solutions in our portfolio: from simple "Turnkey Solutions", to integrated "Industry Solutions", all the way to advanced custom solutions, across Smart Buildings and Workplaces, Retail, Education, Manufacturing and more verticals to come.
This is a critical role that will:
1) define how our solutions are positioned in the market,
2) build the customer and market facing messaging and collateral to market our solutions,
3) enable our sellers and channel partners with key solution messaging and assets, and
4) work with our campaigns team to market our offerings to our audiences.
We are looking for someone skilled in the following areas:

  • Organizational Development: Demonstrated ability to drive organizational improvement through individual skill development along with targeted process enhancements; ability to lead (and build) a team and drive change within organization.
  • Problem Solving: Asks good questions and probes all potential sources for answers; able to evaluate all sides of an issue and independently develop creative solutions to difficult problems; looks beyond obvious surface solutions and does not stop at first answer.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and speaking skills; can articulate information clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings (informal and formal).
  • Business Acumen: Extensive business knowledge and understanding of competitive positioning and how its strategies work within the marketplace.
  • • Judgment: Makes good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis, measurement of results and experience; track record of making solid suggestions and decisions over time; sought out by others for advice and counsel.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: Relates well to people inside and outside the organization; is accessible and develops rapport; listens, builds constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact; commands credibility by treating people with respect; trustworthy.
  • Values: Strong work ethic; straightforward demeanor; maintains highest personal / professional ethics.


Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles with progressing levels of responsibility, including extensive experience in product marketing
  • 5+ years of managing teams and demonstrated ability to recruit and build high performing teams
  • Experience building strong relationships with stakeholder teams, including product management teams


Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of successful strategy development
  • Enterprise software and solutions knowledge and experience
  • Ability to recruit and build high performing teams
  • B2B marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Channel, distribution and technology are a plus.
  • Fluency in digital marketing program development and management (including Email marketing, Direct mail, Paid search / search engine optimization, etc.)
  • Marketing measurement and testing disciplines
  • Understanding of marketing and CRM technology; to and through so that the channel can be enabled and empowered
  • Marketing and customer databases
  • Campaign management
  • Reporting and analysis tools
  • Business systems integration - marketing, order, fulfillment, follow up
  • Website/eCommerce strategy and execution
  • Sales management - setting budgets, revenue goals and quotas
  • Pricing strategy, promotional development and execution
  • Follow through with customer and ensure satisfaction
  • Competitive positioning
