Job Description

Your Career

The Director, Product Marketing for Cortex will lead a team to be the voice of the Cortex products. This will play a key role in planning and executing the product marketing strategy for Cortex product offering. Your team will own positioning, messaging, content creation and sales enablement for multiple products and work closely with stakeholders from product management, marketing, sales, and technology partners to drive business and market success.

Your Impact

  • You will lead the planning, implementation, and management of the Cortex marketing strategy for multiple products

  • Help plan and launch new offerings, capabilities and releases to the market

  • Partner with the product and leadership teams to develop targeted messaging, content and campaign strategy to create awareness, demand, and adoption for Cortex products

  • Work closely with the marketing leadership & integrated campaign teams to create compelling awareness & demand generation programs.

  • Lead and grow the product marketing team, including annual and quarterly planning, career pathing, org design and resource allocations.

  • Design and implement marketing best practices and transformation initiatives to scale and growth the business

  • Serve as an industry evangelist & thought leader by blogging, engaging with social media, analysts, and speaking at customer & industry events

  • You will be the subject matter expert and the go-to resource for the field on the target buyers, the market and competitive landscape; and use this understanding to drive differentiated messaging and positioning.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Product Marketing. At least seven (7) years of product marketing or related experience. You'll need to have owned or executed full lifecycle product launches

  • Leadership. At least seven (5) years leading teams: supporting them through positioning & messaging development, planning and executing go-to-market strategies, industry analyst influence; hiring and managing high performing teams

  • Security Technology. An intermediate understanding of endpoint, network, identity and analytics technologies security operations roles and best practices. Knowledge of EDR, XDR, NTA/NDR, UEBA, SOAR, ASM or SIEM technologies is desirable. Knowledge of Cloud security and cloud operating systems patterns is desirable

  • Storyteller and presenter. An ability to break down complex concepts into extremely simple and clear terms; comfortable with creating and delivering presentations in a range of environments, from industry conferences to customer briefings to internal teams and leadership

  • Communicator and Writer. Strong written communication is necessary to develop extremely simple and clear messaging, collateral, tools and content for customers, partners & sales

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is desirable

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, the starting salary (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) is expected to be between $175,200/yr to $257,700/yr.
