Director, Paid Media
SailPoint is seeking a paid media leader to drive our digital advertising program to increase awareness and generate demand. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, you will lead a team of advertising professionals to determine strategy, establish plans, and execute with increasing efficiency our paid search, display, social, content syndication, and other paid channels. You should be comfortable engaging with a diverse set of partners outside your team including demand marketers, campaign managers, creative directors, conversion rate optimization specialists, business analysts, and web marketers.
Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategy and plans for paid media programs, including search, display, social, and content syndication
  • Manage paid media budget, including funds allocated to the team plus any quarterly transfer from global demand generation teams or incremental
  • Lead talented paid media team by building an inspiring vision, assigning goals, providing feedback on results, mentoring with an eye for career development, and assuring open communication and visibility
  • Set team targets and analyze ongoing performance across programs, ensuring that channels are continually improving CTR and pipeline results
  • Work with the campaigns team to establish a common campaign framework to support programs from large evergreen campaigns to smaller regional initiatives
  • Interlock with regional field sales leadership to ensure agreement on priorities, adjusting as required by changing market conditions and emerging opportunities
  • Align with Analytics and Operations teams on end-to-end lead management process including lead capture, nurturing, demand team handoff and SLAs
  • Evaluate, select, and manage vendors and platforms needed to support ongoing optimization of paid media results
  • Drive testing and optimization to realize program improvements including ad copy and creative, landing page design, and site destination


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of marketing experience with a primary career focus on advertising and paid media
  • Experience in all paid channels, including SEM, Display/Video, Social, and Content Syndication
  • Familiarity with broad range of modern ad technology
  • Web/ad analytics and business intelligence experience, with the ability to drive program insights in addition to regular reporting
  • Demand creation/field marketing experience is desirable
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
  • Data-driven marketing strategy, planning, and budget allocation
  • People management, including the ability to build a new team and work with diverse skill sets
  • Exceptional project and agency management an ability to adapt to business needs
  • Bachelor's degree


Preferred:

  • B2B/Tech/SaaS experience would speed up time to ramp up
  • Some media agency experience would be useful but not required
  • Experience coordinating with or overseeing SEO programs a plus
  • MBA is a bonus
