The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans focused on driving growth and retention at Creighton University. This role partners closely with marketing and communications team members and university leaders to understand business goals and priorities to develop marketing strategy. In addition, the Director plays a key role in building the university brand and brings a data-driven, audience-focused approach to support the university's business objectives.

The Director leads a team of marketing strategists who develop, drive and implement marketing and content strategies in support of institutional priorities. This position works collaboratively across the organization, as well as with vendor partners, to execute multi-channel, integrated marketing plans and campaigns that raise the university's brand profile and drive recruitment and retention.

The Director will:• Develop and execute marketing plans that support strategic initiatives at the university with an emphasis on brand awareness and positioning. • Partner with the Director of Content Strategy to connect content to the full marketing funnel. • Understand and leverage all digital channels such as search engines, social media, email and websites.• Understand and implement SEO best practices.• Maintain knowledge of new and emerging marketing trends.• Bring a digital-first, data-driven mindset to the University Communications and Marketing team and all marketing conversations and strategies.• Be a brand ambassador to ensure the university's brand message is conveyed, integrated and established across all areas.• Partner with internal partners and outside vendors to support marketing goals and objectives.• Be a champion for personas and the customer journey and identify where the marketing team can add value.
