About This Role: 

Our expansion plans are ambitious and exciting, and we’re looking for a Marketing Director to join our Pacaso team in Europe as we scale our business and rapidly expand into new markets across Europe & the UK. Pacaso is seeking a customer-obsessed Marketeer who will be responsible for the company’s demand generation funnel. This person will build, coordinate, and manage ongoing optimization of manual and automated marketing campaigns for both B2C and B2B audiences. 

The Marketing Director will own lead generation and nurture campaigns across a multi-channel platform. This individual should be confident in their skills to optimize existing programs as well as be innovative regarding the creation of new campaign opportunities. Program success is driven by striking the balance between delivering extremely relevant, useful messages and also driving key business KPI’s and engagement metrics.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, combining analytical mind and creative capabilities. This person will work closely with our Revenue team, in ensuring funnel conversions while maintaining our high standard for customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to be an early member of the Europe team within a fast growing rocket ship with a seasoned crew of successful leaders with a track record of success building large real estate and technology companies. In addition to managing demand generation, this role includes cross-functional people leadership. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and capable manager, able to both manage a team and manage up to senior leadership.

What You'll Do: 

  • Reporting to Pacaso CMO, you will lead the European marketing team, while serving as main liaison between the Europe and the central marketing team
  • Create and execute a strong multi-channel performance marketing strategy & execution plan
  • Manage budgets and campaigns across all channels to drive strong ROI and efficient CAC
  • Plan, execute and lead paid campaigns across offline and online channels, including Paid Social, SEM, Display, email, direct mail, etc. (in partnership with digital agency)
  • Optimize for organic growth marketing including: SEO keyword target research, on-site recommendations, blog content development, link building, etc.
  • Produce engaging and creative content
  • Work with cross functional partners to develop and refine key email assets and inputs (including but not limited to events, sales, product, home ops, and creative teams)
  • Own email production and QA processes to ensure emails are accurate and deployed on time
  • Maintain and analyze weekly and monthly reports and identify opportunities for campaign optimization
  • Collaborate with the central team in providing them with European focused engaging content to be run in the company’s Social Media presence and increase engagement across all platforms
  • Optimize emails for both desktop, tablet and mobile devices (HTML based templates)
  • Identify target audiences and utilize ESP tools to maintain strategic segmentation and targeting best practices
  • Monitor and maintain email deliverability best practices and file clean-up (unsubscribes, inactive bounces, etc.)
  • Help develop new campaigns designed to increase customer engagement across email

About You: 

  • 10+ years proven experience managing marketing teams plus building effective multi-channel marketing strategies and campaign optimization
  • Deep expertise in ad network platforms as well as website testing and analytics tools (i.e. Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Optimizely, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting to executive stakeholders
  • A confident, caring and capable people leader, with a track record of building and engaging a diverse team
  • Experience building multi variable campaigns and through an email service provider (Iterable and Salesforce experience a plus)
  • Proven track record building lead nurture and sales enablement campaigns
  • Functional knowledge of HTML/CSS required
  • You have demonstrated a fundamental knowledge of email and notification best practices
  • Experience with Push and SMS campaigns
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and optimize programs
  • Proven track record campaign optimization through segmentation and content testing plans.
  • Experience analyzing and communicating relevant results upwards
  • Experience creating scalable automated campaigns in partnership with product teams
  • High attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple, high priority initiatives, and prioritize appropriately
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and change, and have experience in driving proof of concept testing in partnership with engineering teams
  • You are a highly goal-oriented individual and have excellent communication skills
  • Creativity and an eye for design
  • Ability to thrive in early-stage, fast moving organizations
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • This role requires the right to live and work in the UK, Spain or the Netherlands
  • BA or college degree, or equivalent, Masters degree preferred
  • Ability to speak English is required; ideal candidates will be bilingual in Spanish and/or German
