As the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications and Content, you will lead a team of marketing communications professionals and writers to develop powerful campaigns that promote the Beckman Coulter brand and engage target audiences with our value proposition in a memorable and highly impactful way.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Direct a team of integrated marketing communications (IMC) managers and content writers and partner with global product marketing to develop differentiated positioning and messaging for new product launches and campaigns
  • Develop and refine comprehensive marketing communication plans and partner with creative design, public relations, digital marketing and tradeshow teams to drive key critical initiatives across the Beckman Coulter portfolio of solutions
  • Diligently research and understand competitive trends and voice of customer/market research data to ensure marketing communications initiatives and written content are differentiated from competition and resonate with the target audience
  • Prioritize tactics, budget and time to focus on tactics that deliver most impactful return on investment
  • Lead development and execution of marketing communications deliverables focused on building customer awareness of new solutions, generating demand for BEC products and solutions and enabling sales to win in a highly competitive marketplace and lead content creation across all communication channels, while continuously evolving and up-leveling standard work for IMC teams to optimize performance and develop and launch strategic communication plan framework and communication cascade templates customized for product launches and campaigns and develop and track key performance indicators to evaluate success of marketing communication initiatives
  • Partner with creative design team to translate the brand story and product value proposition into impactful and innovative creative concepts to attract target audience across multiple media channels and partner with product marketing, creative and digital marketing teams to brainstorm innovative campaign design concepts, with customization for key global regions.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive direction and mentorship to members of the marketing communications team and oversee projects from idea inception to completion, with on time delivery and on budget


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in science (MBA preferred) with 14+ years demonstrated ability as a marketing leader, an emphasis on marketing communications preferred
  • 4+ years' experience optimally leading and developing teams in a fast paced, matrixed organizations and ability to work successfully in a collaborative matrix environment that includes global partners.
  • Proven experience in healthcare related field


Preferred experience:

  • Strong preference for diagnostics or medical device experience
  • Advanced communication skills, ability to quickly distill complex information into a compelling story and communicate to various audiences with emphasis on executive communication
  • Demonstrated track record developing successful marketing communication campaigns for new product launches in healthcare space
