Reporting to the VP, Product Marketing, the Director, Industry and Solutions Marketing is responsible for the vision, messaging, content creation, and go-to-market strategy into key industries/verticals segments and solution areas. In this role, you will lead a team, owning the GTM strategy for all industries and solution marketing focused on building and scaling SailPoint's market presence and product adoption across industries and solutions. This role will work in partnership with multiple disciplines to drive demand, including sales, product, marketing and solution leaders to define strategy, build content, and improve processes to drive the demand of SailPoint solutions.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a diverse and talented team of Industry and Solution marketers who own the positioning, messaging and content across all verticals and solution areas
  • Develop deep industry expertise and advise the business on the strategic vertical areas to invest in. Create messaging and content that will support the GTM sales enablement and marketing programs.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing and Demand Gen teams to help educate our sales organizations on positioning, best practices, partner integrations and more. Enable partners with joint GTM motion as well.
  • Driving excellence around how we communicate roadmaps, use cases and benefits internally and externally through impactful content creation
  • Determine the tactical mix and setting individual program goals & measurement criteria
  • Partner with internal campaign teams and external agencies to create demand creation programs "in a box" for sales, and field marketers
  • Interlock with sales leadership to ensure agreement on priorities, adjusting as required by changing market conditions and emerging opportunities
  • Juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Manage and adhere to budget
  • Support effective change management, communication data policy and process re-engineering within marketing
  • Industry and solution knowledge - develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of SailPoint's products and competitive knowledge
  • Market and competitive intelligence - be the expert on your buyers, their needs, how they buy and their buying criteria
  • Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the use cases and solutions to the sales team and enable sales to drive renewal and upsell motions.
  • Content development - create marketing and sales collateral, such as whitepapers, datasheets, executive presentations, etc.


Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience on leading high-performing marketing teams with a concentration in content and solution marketing
  • Strong leadership and people management, including the ability to scale marketing teams with diverse skill sets
  • Demonstrated success in driving go-to-market strategy for market-leading SaaS product
  • Self-starter who is experienced in successfully taking a project from concept to execution
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
  • Data-driven marketing strategy, planning, and budget allocation
  • Exceptional project and agency management an ability to adapt to business needs


Education:
MBA or equivalent preferred; BA/BS required
Travel:
This position requires approximately 20% travel
