About the role 

To help our customers and users adopt our products quickly and help fuel company growth to support them, we’re looking for an experienced Growth Marketing Director to lead our Digital efforts.

Marketing at HashiCorp is a blend of ensuring we are generating commercial demand by responding to and supporting the interest of enterprises while also responding to and delivering on the needs of our open-source users for technical content and assistance. To do this, the Growth Marketing role is tasked with tactics that accelerate adoption and success for users and enterprise prospects, while also planning and executing growth tactics across multiple channels.

In this role, you will own the Digital strategy and execution of engagements with any user, prospect or customer, while driving against demand, pipeline and revenue goals. This position will report to the Head of Growth Marketing.

In this role you can expect to

  • Build programs and campaigns to help acquire and activate net new users, retain and convert successful users and understand, try, and adopt our offerings.
  • Create, execute, and analyze marketing programs to activate, engage, convert and retain multiple customer segments.
  • Responsible for managing/building the Digital team, and owning the P&L of the business to deliver against targets, OKRs and goals. 
  • Serve as the lead for business performance of our Digital programs (owned, earned and paid), presenting monthly and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership. 
  • Work with Product Marketing, Design, Developer Relations and WebDev to continuously optimize our acquisition, activation and retention funnel and product onboarding through rigorous experimentation, with the goal of growing conversion efficiency.
  • Build systems for forecasting, measuring, and reporting on the performance of campaigns and business, using data and analytics to assess against our critical metrics like Sign ups, Retention, ARR, and top of funnel.
  • Work with operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure we’re generating the right type of demand, and determine business process implications as needed. Build processes and frameworks that will scale with a growing organization. 
  • Distribute the HashiCorp central messaging across existing and net new digital channels, touching prospects and customers across the education path. Build and expand Digital channels.
  • Create retargeting campaigns and drive segmentation analysis for personalized journey conversion journeys across multiple cohorts of users, owning channels including Email, Web, and Paid.

You may be a good fit for our team if you have

  • Expertise in modern digital growth strategies including SEO, SEM, social ads, content syndication, analytics platforms, web technologies and more
  • Strong building and execution mentality. Takes ownership of end to end user journeys and touchpoints. 
  • Experience identifying target audiences, working with customer segmentation and personalization, and creating campaign strategies
  • Understand and map systems architecture for data flow and reporting
  • Enjoy collaboration with cross-functional groups
  • Previous experience marketing to a technical audience of practitioners, and decision makers.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to compile and analyze campaign data to inform decisions
  • Entrepreneurial zest and hands-on attitude
  • Experience generating demand at an enterprise B2B company
  • Strong editorial skills
  • Experience hiring and managing teams
