Overview:
The Director Global Strategic Alliance Marketing leads the development and implementation of global marketing strategies to accelerate strategic alliance revenue growth for our Skillsoft content business. This leader will lead the development and execution of Global strategies and programs aligned closely to achieve the Skillsoft and their key Alliance Partners' annual revenue objectives and performance KPIs. This leader will manage a team of global strategic alliance marketers and oversee the regional strategic alliance marketers thru a matrixed reporting relationship. This role will work closely with the Portfolio Marketing Diamond teams to ensure demand generation campaigns and marketing launches incorporate the needs of our key Strategic Alliance Partners. The right candidate will understand how to develop end-to-end prospect and channel partner growth programs that can be deployed globally and regionalized effectively. We are seeking a hands-on leader with a can-do personality who can work cross-functionally to drive growth and influence change in a matrix environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build and implement robust marketing growth strategies for the Skillsoft business that enable us to deliver our annual marketing performance KPIs and revenue commitments for strategic alliances.
- Align and work closely with Skillsoft Strategic Alliance leadership and stakeholders on strategy and prioritization. Liaise internally with sales and partner-facing teams to execute on strategy.
- Act as primary point of contact for all marketing and demand generation activities to support growth of the global Skillsoft alliances.
- Generate global channel annual and quarterly marketing plans, with calendar and demand generation targets, to support annual revenue commitments.
- Accountable to drive revenue growth and achieve annual marketing performance objectives for Strategic Alliance business globally.
- Understand and communicate the strategic initiatives of Skillsoft as well as negotiate marketing resource investment with Strategic Alliance aligned to profitable growth
- Oversee a team that will coordinate details and logistics to ensure Strategic Alliance marketing campaigns, programs, events, and tactics are highly effective.
- Provide insights on successes and effectiveness of Strategic Alliance campaigns including lead generation, marketing attribution, etc.
- Lead a team of 2 to 3 Global Strategic Alliance Marketers.
- Collaborate with the portfolio diamond teams to build programs and tactics that can be easily modified for the Alliance partners to execute the global channel marketing needs.
- Act as a marketing advisor to key Alliance partners and lead the development of marketing plans and materials for specific partners.
- Design and implement measurements to quantify ROI from channel marketing programs and co-marketing activities with partners.
- Maintain marketing communication and 2-way feedback internally with stakeholders and externally with Alliance partners to ensure they have the content and tools to sell and market their solutions, to achieve shared revenue commitments and KPIs.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- Team oriented, result oriented, collaborative approach
- Ability to interact very effectively with internal and external stakeholders and team members
- Strong marketing mindset, solid digital marketing acumen and partner focus are essential
- 7 to 10 years marketing experience, SAAS and/or B2B with Strategic Alliance/Channel Partner experience preferred.
- Proven record of delivering successful strategic marketing programs and tactics with high ROI in the field, with measurable outcomes.
- Ability to understand and communicate the strategic initiatives of Skillsoft as well as negotiate marketing resource investment with Strategic Alliances teams aligned to profitable growth
- Advanced skills for Microsoft Office
- Proven track record in a similar role with clear evidence of execution
- Experience of working in a global matrix environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, hands on, results oriented culture.
