Who we are looking for
As part of the Global Athlete Brand Marketing team, this role will be critical in driving a full 365 Athlete Brand Marketing plan for specific Iconic and Defining Athletes. One understands challenges or underlying opportunities, share ideas, and develop effective responses to further drive Nike's new Athlete Offense. Leading and collaborating with other Director level partners to ensure Nike's Athlete team has the information to plan and integrate key business objectives into Athlete plans. This candidate will coach and lead a group of best-in-class Athlete Brand Marketing Managers. Finally, this role will also collaborate with Nike Athletes and their internal/external creative partners to bring A/V storytelling opportunities to life.
What you will work on
You will partner cross functionally to implement the Athlete Product Marketing plans in service of the Athlete, the Brand, and the strategy of the dimension. Drive an end-to-end global integrated process for marketing specific Iconic and Defining Athletes. Own the creation of Annual Athlete Brand Plans and be on the forefront of identifying where the industry is going and the role of Nike plays within it by surfacing opportunities, standard methodologies, etc.
Who you will work with
You will partner with Men's/Women's/Kids leads to authentically integrate our Athletes into our most important brand initiatives and concepts. Leading the team to create Athlete opportunities, share standard methodologies, and useful insights across all departments(BDPA, CDM, Planning, etc.). Collaborate with Business and Creative partners to build the strategy for how our Brand will partner with our Athletes to support and drive our marketing initiatives.

What you bring

  • Bachelo'r degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Minimum of 8-10+years of directly relevant marketing experience.
  • Passionate about sport and the consumers of sport.
  • Experience working with Athletes and/or Entertainers.
  • Track record of integrating into, learning, and leading in new culture settings (international, industry, etc).
  • Experience working with data & insights teams to derive useful insights.
  • Experience leading and driving end-to-end planning.
  • Ability to thoughtfully juggle the details and the big picture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and making persuasive presentations to senior leadership
  • Experience of working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
  • Adapts quickly to move at the pace of consumer and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed.
  • Understands the retail landscape and industry standard methodologies.
  • Expert at driving a collaborative team environment across all levels of an organization.
