We are looking for an experienced Communications leader to join us in our mission to save people time by making the world more productive.

 

The Director of Corporate Communications will lead a team of dedicated communications managers focused on crafting the stories we share with the world. You will be a strategic communications partner to executives across the company, leading day-to-day efforts around ClickUp's growth and momentum, company culture, and company narrative.

 

You should have deep experience planning and executing corporate communications strategies and have existing relationships with reporters that cover business, venture, and workplace leadership topics. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Head of Global Communications and serve as a key leader on a rapidly expanding, highly strategic and talented team.

The Role:

  • Create and execute proactive communications campaigns that positions us among the most innovative, and fastest growing startups in the world.
  • Work closely with executives, including ClickUp CEO Zeb Evans, to tell stories about our unique company culture and leadership philosophy.
  • Develop and manage executive spokesperson platforms that include thought leadership strategy, media pitching, and participation in speaking events.
  • Manage, motivate, and coach a team of talented communications managers and work with them to develop their skill sets and career paths.
  • Oversee key communications initiatives and own the quality, effectiveness and performance of the Corporate Communications team's execution.
  • Build and manage your own set of relationships with key reporters.
  • Develop high-quality written materials that convey ClickUp's narrative, including pitches, messaging platforms, press releases, award submissions, Q&As, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of communications experience in SaaS software or cloud computing, in-house or at an agency.
  • Experience working directly with executives and supporting executive communications programs.
  • Experience leading, influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience as a people manager.
  • Ability to understand complex subject matter, along with the skills needed to simplify and explain these topics for a broad audience of stakeholders.
  • Relationships with business and technology journalists and influencers, and a knack for knowing what will interest them.
  • Top-notch decision-making skills. Handles pressure and deadline-oriented demands as well as manages multiple initiatives.
  • Great writing and editing skills, with a love for penning messaging platforms, pitches, press releases, and executive speaking points.
  • An interest in the latest moves in technology and the future of work.
