Why we’re hiring

Alloy is seeking a Director of Corporate Communications & Brand to drive the day-to-day external communications plan working closely with the executive team, product managers and other cross-functional leaders, and to ensure the messaging, brand direction and media relations are aligned to Alloy’s business objectives. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.

The Director of Corporate Communications & Brand plays a critical role in the development of the company’s brand and communications strategy:

  • Develop the communications and content strategy, including developing Alloy’s POVs on industry topics and themes, that drives our corporate brand forward
  • Oversee Alloy’s brand identity program, serve as corporate brand ambassador and provide corporate communications recommendations to help achieve organizational goals
  • Expand our brand reputation within our existing client base through our community, newsletter and other client resources to foster relationships for PR, testimonials, etc
  • Drive client engagement through our community and company events to create brand ambassadors
  • Expand our brand reach through external-facing materials, company and industry events, presentations, and announcements to ensure consistency with the Alloy’s corporate identity 
  • Drive day-to-day PR /AR  activities and measure results against goals for all campaigns and programs
  • Create and execute on an AR strategy with key analysts and outlets, responding to briefing requests and keeping analysts informed of new developments
  • Support the development and execution of media events and engagements, including influencer partnerships 
  • Prepare executives for media interactions and public appearances; provide counsel prior to opportunities and manage de-brief and follow up
  • Manage internal company announcements, messaging and presentations
  • Identify and nurture both internal and external speakers, including leadership, SMEs, clients, and industry thought leaders for panels, webinars, and other engagements
  • Work closely with marketing, human resources, sales, and others including executive leadership to enhance our employer brand and drive strong strategies that increase attraction/retainment of top talent

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement measurement tools and analytics to determine effectiveness of overall reputation and communications programs and initiatives. Evaluate results through measurable objectives and indicators designed to demonstrate value; adapt communications strategies as appropriate 
  • The measurement and effectiveness of PR / AR strategies, initiatives and tactics
  • Build and manage a content and communications team

Who we're looking for 

  • Seasoned communications professional with a proven track record of managing high-impact, PR / AR programs that deliver measurable results
  • 7+ years PR and/or content experience with B2B technology companies, specifically with fintech/banking industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, writing, project management, strategic planning and execution, spokesperson training and coordination of tours/events
  • Demonstrated results in driving strategic storytelling to external audiences and up leveling complex concepts to secure message delivery in targeted business and technical media
  • Ability to quickly learn about a complex, highly regulated space (i.e. banking and fintech)
  • Top-notch communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Self-directed strategic thinker capable of collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and making an impact quickly
  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative and highly motivated while maintaining professionalism
