We are looking for a digital product analyst responsible for providing insights into Whole Foods Market web and mobile app usage to the Whole Foods’ Marketing organization. This individual will establish and track app/web engagement metrics, perform project-based business intelligence engineering work, provide insights into recent trends in activity, and assess the downstream impact of product features.

This individual must develop deep knowledge of a variety of data sources, including customer, transaction, marketing, and digital, and must possess the ability to identify patterns when analyzing large volumes of data across multiple data dimensions.

Above and beyond strong data and technical skills, the right candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of business and marketing performance. The position is located in Austin, TX. Domestic relocation is available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to consult, develop, and track KPIs, automate reporting/process solutions and perform data infrastructure improvements to meet team needs
  • Analyze and extract relevant information from large and complicated data sets of structured and unstructured data to identify insights to influence business decisions and product roadmaps
  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, and user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support business teams across key growth initiatives
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights to help make decisions and track downstream impact. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a Business Intelligence or Analyst role
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience working with clickstream data
  • Experience with AWS services including S3 and Redshift
  • Experience with Google Analytics (or similar web analytics services)
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Quicksight
  • Experience drawing insights from data and communicating them (verbal/written) to stakeholders and senior management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be self-driven and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
  • Fundamentals in problem-solving, complexity analysis, and data integration projects
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Experience with Python/R/Scala for analysis, visualization, and automation

LOCATION AND TRAVEL:

Located in Austin, TX with up to 5% time spent traveling to software partners, regional offices and/or store locations.
