We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized junior-level social media specialist to join our growing team.

The primary purpose of this position is to:

  • Assist in developing and implementing Sirius' Digital Marketing strategy and processes
  • Execute the social media plan,
  • Track and optimize social activities and tactics,
  • Collaborate with the digital team and enhance social media efforts,
  • Support business and marketing objectives, grow website traffic via social interaction, and
  • Analyze client intelligence for marketing/sales to leverage.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, optimization, and growth of our social media presence
  • Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
  • Plan social campaigns in collaboration with digital, marcomm and demand gen teams
  • Monitor social channels, respond to social engagement, track trending topics and hashtags, copywrite Sirius branded social posts and create a regular social cadence for Sirius-related trending technology topics
  • Assist in creating and executing social ad strategy
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is captivating and engaging
  • Moderate and advocate for user-generated content, and align it with social strategy
  • Enable growth of each social media platforms in followers, amount of engagement, and conversions
  • Manage social editorial calendar
  • Measure and report performance of social media campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Track and analyze reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to improve future outcomes
  • Own and manage the process for podcast recording, editing and publishing
  • Provide education to sales and technical teams on social selling and blogging
  • Assist in managing the employee advocacy social program
  • Assist website specialist with periodic webpage creation/updates via CMS


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or a related field
  • At least one (1) year of marketing experience, including social media experience

Other Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Social media reporting capabilities and ability to connect social media KPIs with overall marketing and business objectives
  • Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with social media management software, familiarity with Oktopost
  • Experience activating paid social media campaigns (particularly across LinkedIn and Facebook)
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
  • Editorial copywriting experience
  • Demonstrated skills in Adobe Photoshop
