As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will leverage a deep understanding of our target customers, the small business insurance market, and acquisition channels in order to drive business goals throughout the sales funnel. You will be helping to define target audiences, supporting the development of performance marketing strategies to reach them, and optimizing campaigns across digital marketing channels including paid search, paid social, display, and video. You will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and work in close partnership with our Go-To-Market, Brand Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and Technology teams.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies and advertising campaigns across channels including paid search, display, video, and social
- Manage channel budgets and complete forecasting exercises
- Collaborate with Brand, Product, Finance, and Analytics teams to understand the business objectives, customer acquisition goals, and measurement methodologies which inform digital marketing planning
- Keep the customer top of mind while overseeing the development of advertising assets, from creative best practices to landing page strategy to tagging and tracking
- Analyze media results by platform and against business goals to identify trends, recommend optimizations, and report on weekly and monthly performance
- Act as a liaison between external agency partners and the Simply Business marketing team to execute digital marketing activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in digital marketing, ad tech, and measurement trends and best practices
What we are looking for:
- 5-10+ years of experience managing large-scale, full-funnel digital marketing campaigns
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing small teams
- Collaboration and communication skills, with experience successfully partnering with internal teams such as Product, Creative, Finance, Tech, and Analytics, as well as external marketing agency partners and/or experience working at agencies
- An analytical thinker, adept with analyzing media data and reporting on performance marketing campaign results as they relate to business objectives
- In-depth understanding of digital advertising audience targeting, creative best practices, incrementality testing, and tracking and measurement
- Working knowledge of a broad spectrum of digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Meta Business Suite, GA4, SA360, DV360, CM360, Adthena, CDPs, programmatic platforms, and data visualization tools
- Passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest advertising trends and marketing technology

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?
More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.
We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.
We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely four times a month. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
