Digital Acquisition Marketing Senior Manager for Display, Online Video & Emerging Channels
The Display Senior Manager will be responsible for a team of display specialists who manage the day-to-day operations and oversee an agency in campaign execution for some of Capital One’s key digital acquisition channels - Display and Online Video. This team is also responsible for testing into emerging channels like Social, Connected TV, Addressable TV and Digital Audio. The role includes setting channel strategy, supporting product initiatives across a diverse organization, enhancing how our team operates, and constantly looking for ways to optimize the broader program - including some hands-on channel work. This Senior Manager should have experience in the Display and Online Video space, for example working with Google, Verizon, The Trade Desk, and/or other relevant platforms/DSPs and will advise on industry updates and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead, train and manage a team of associates to build and execute display and online video campaigns and test new/emerging digital marketing channels
Serve as the subject matter expert in display and online video with deep knowledge of various DSPs, campaign settings, optimization techniques, creative and automation
Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, betas, and new opportunities; advise on new ways to reach audiences
Collaborate with internal partners to develop digital strategies for product launches, run tests and scale opportunities to grow new customer acquisition
Perform daily management of display and online video campaigns from planning and execution to analysis and reporting; launch campaigns error-free and identify opportunities for performance optimizations
Develop and execute campaign testing agenda, including; audiences, settings, creative, landing page, and channel expansion testing
Coordinate across internal teams including Compliance, Brand Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, Data, Technology etc. to execute display strategies End to End.
Partner with business analytics team to track and measure performance and report on campaign effectiveness
Manage and strengthen agency and partner relationships with Google, Verizon and other vendors to ensure account teams bring value through their services
Ensure the channel is run in a well managed way, seeking approvals, documenting launches and looking for ways to optimize processes
“Self-starter”, strong organizational skills, ownership mentality, ability to prioritize workloads, and fast learner of new digital marketing and Display specific technology tools
Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversions, and online customer acquisition
Ability to leverage the capabilities of high-performing team mates, as well as partners across the enterprise
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 5 years of experience in display and online video marketing with knowledge of Google, Verizon or The Trade Desk
At least 5 years of experience planning and implementing display and online video strategies
At least 5 years of experience managing multi-million dollar Paid display and online video campaigns
At least 2 years of experience in people management
At least 1 year of experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience in Display marketing and related experience managing high volume accounts and large media budgets
Experience in other digital marketing channels such as Addressable TV, Connected TV, Digital Audio, Social, etc.
At least 3 years of experience in people management
At least 2 years of experience in project management
At least 1 year of experience in product development
