At Salesloft, our Senior Customer Marketing Manager is pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Marketing team and the liaison to our incredible customer community.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an energetic and insightful marketer who is adaptable, engaging, and motivated to create strategies and execute on them. We need a collaborator and bridge builder between the Marketing, Success, Success Programs, Product Marketing, and Services (marketing and post-sales) teams that can motivate and inspire those around them to rally behind their cause.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for driving 1:many and many:many customer engagement through programs in partnership with customer marketing peers as well as the rest of marketing, success, success programs, and product marketing.

Our Salesloft Marketing team is composed of seasoned and up-and-coming marketing professionals who are all aligned on one mission: to redefine the Sales Engagement space and activate the authentic seller in all of us. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Reinvent and own our scaled customer marketing strategy and support the day-to-day operations and programs
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute global 1:many / many:many customer marketing programs in close partnership with marketing and post-sales teams.
  • Understand and report on customer behavior, segmentation, churn data and use learnings as a key input into strategy and tactics.
      • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Renewals, Services, and Support team members to segment, prioritize, and create compelling enablement and self-service content with customer performance benchmark data to illustrate value for each targeted customer group. 
      • Lead, test, and execute on targeted retention campaigns - scaled for SMB, Mid Market, and Enterprise customers.
  • Build the cross-functional processes and programs to support customer marketing initiatives.

THE SKILL SET:

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work as part of a distributed team environment.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree;  Minimum of 2-4 years experience in B2B customer marketing, programs, or advocacy
  • A good listener and creative team player who can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, informed by keen and careful critical thinking and messaging.
  • Strong planning, organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work swiftly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and keep a level head while maintaining grace under pressure.  
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for customer community development 
  • A passion for customers, as demonstrated by going above and beyond to Put Customers First

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-6-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in Success, Success Programs, Product Marketing, Executives etc. 
  • Understand all of the resources that are available to you

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Create a program plan to drive advocacy and adoption leveraging existing assets, resources, and programming
  • Take over existing customer programs such as the customer newsletter, peer reviews, and references
  • Build, organize, and manage a network of customer advocates that are willing to go to bat for Salesloft in new deals and expansion opportunities

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Consistently publishing customer stories (with others on our communications team) that align with our personas
  • Work closely with our customer success programs team and arm them to be successful by delivering customer intelligence and provide expertise and programs to help them identify opportunities to expand adoption
  • Analyze and understand key customer segments to develop compelling messaging and marketing offers, as well as provide insights into customer needs, behavior, and the customer lifecycle.
  • Write, edit, update, and publish copy to support the program plan you’re executing to Salesloft newsletters, landing pages, and other outlets as needed.
  • Build extensive knowledge in defined segment group of customers, including appropriate product and solution areas and develop expertise with industry, product, partners and competitors.

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Impact capability awareness and adoption within our customer base
  • Be considered a top performer on the marketing team
  • Consistently meet OKRs
  • Have solid, productive relationships with the marketing and services teams
  • Be running a very successful customer advocacy program
