Role Description

Our teams goal is to Make Technology Human by designing & deploying technology experiences that allow Dropboxers to be productive, feel connected, and build culture and community whether remote or in person.  You will lead a staff of technical engineers and production video specialists responsible for technology to help Dropboxers stay connected in Virtual First. You will help lead Dropbox into its next phase of success by developing and scaling new and existing tools aimed at helping Dropboxers communicate and collaborate more effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Support your team to deliver an amazing technology experience to Dropboxers.
  • Lead a globally distributed team to support our global audio/video conferencing, events, Video Production and streaming services. 
  • Work with our managed service Provider to support all live events for Dropboxers
  • Partner with critical stakeholders (both business and internal IT) to implement solutions that continue to transform the way we engage and collaborate as a company while also ensuring that security and reliability are always at the forefront of the services we offer. 
  • Lead the installation, configuration, commissioning, and training of all AV projects in support of our growing global workforce
  • Create innovative solutions to support a highly distributed Virtual First workforce
  • Manager vendors, integrators, and service providers for adherence to project scope, service delivery schedule, and budget allocation.  
  • Build and maintain a documentation repository that houses all audio visual reference architecture. 
  • Serve as lead technical liaison to your business partners; develop and implement road-maps to eliminate, simplify, or automate ineffective elements of our current workflows in conjunction with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Set in conjunction with business stakeholders, the quality standards (SLA’s, KPI) required to support a growing and thriving business collaboration environment. Establish and adhere to metrics that allow you to measure your teams overall success.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships with key internal customer/stakeholders within Dropbox 

 

Requirements 

  • 4+ years of direct management experience including managing teams that are globally dispersed.
  • 5+ years experience building and deploying innovative Video conferencing experiences
  • 5+ years video production experience including working in a rapidly changing environment across multiple teams, preferably as a lead technician, technical director, or event manager.
  • 3+ years project management experience including AV/VC system deployment in an enterprise setting.
  • Passion for driving continual improvement initiatives around availability, performance, agility and unit cost. You are able to monitor and measure the health of your service with metrics, sla reporting, and dashboards.
  • Experience in owning a managed service and handling vendors to deliver defined projects
  • Experience in leading and scaling audio visual and video conferencing designs, system integration and resolution.
  • BA/BS degree from a 4-year university/professional school or equivalent; work experience accepted
