About the Opportunity: 

WeWork is seeking a Senior Associate to join our dynamic Corporate Communications team. This position will report under the Director, Corporate Communications – based out of WeWork’s NYC headquarters. 

The Senior Associate will support the planning and execution of multi-channel global communications efforts, focusing on: real-time media monitoring, research and data collection, media briefing development and proactive pitching to journalists. Additionally, this position will play a key role in informing, enhancing and managing processes and organization, helping the team track deliverables and operate at its best.

The ideal candidate is a natural communicator with a keen eye for detail. They are ambitious, resourceful and enthusiastic about opportunities to learn and grow on a lean, fast-paced team. Gravitas, agility and humor are key to success in this role.  

Ideally, you have:

  • 1-2  years experience (in house or agency) supporting communications and/or media relations efforts.

  • Strong project management skills – must be able to own and coordinate the creation of multiple key deliverables simultaneously, in a methodical and rigorous manner, while being comfortable managing shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent relationship management skills, including experience working with/across multiple levels, functions and regions.

  • Humility - you’re a true team player, no job too big or small. This is a lean team, so we’re looking for a willingness to jump in as needed on anything.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monitoring and alerting of media coverage for the company and relevant industry news on a daily basis.

  • Proactively analyze and identify opportunities to enhance press efforts through new media relationships, newsjacking and industry research and trends tracking.

  • Help the team develop strategic communications plans and messaging for key announcements, external events and initiatives.

  • Act as the primary coordinator for the Corporate Communications team by ensuring consistent organization and that objectives are met and measured.

  • Demonstrate a passion for storytelling, learning and a commitment to excellence.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay: $56,300 - $75,050

Incentive Compensation: WeWork employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail what incentive plan is applicable to this specific role. WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment. WeWork reserves the right to amend its incentive plans, and nothing in this job requisition or any other document creates a right to a specific incentive plan payment.

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits (subject to the terms of applicable plans/policies/agreements, which will be made available to you after commencing employment), including: 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 80 hours of paid sick time per full calendar year; 16 weeks paid parental leave; competitive healthcare benefits; 401k matching; and life and AD&D insurance.
