We are seeking an experienced Content Marketing/Public Relations Specialist. This Sr. Associate role will work closely with the rest of the Content Marketing team to develop our thought leadership approach from a PR & blog perspective, ensure we're sharing our PR coverage through our social media channels, and work with our HR team to build and communicate our employee strategy through our PR efforts & Content Marketing.

This role will be responsible for creating effective, compelling, and innovative social content. The ideal candidate brings solid experience and understanding of PR, social media platforms and how positioning us as a financial thought leader will be effective in engaging followers, acquiring followers, generating leads and nurturing existing relationships. Must be an organized, strategic, and visionary marketing professional with five plus years of experience in public relations, social media strategy, content creation, marketing project management, and social media monitoring platforms. Must effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of finance a plus but not required.

Job Duties:

  • Support our Thought Leadership approach with the Sr. Director of PR & Director of Content Marketing, determining the right leaders for media interviews, blog authors and working with our PR agencies to generate media coverage
  • Write press releases and determine blog content topics for our Insights blog that can be pitched to media outlets
  • Assist Sr. Director of PR on PR projects as assigned
  • Work with our HR department to build out and communicate our employee strategy through PR efforts & Content Marketing
  • Post PR coverage on FNBO social sites as appropriate
  • Research relevant press coverage that can be shared to support our marketing efforts
  • Research financial industry expert content to distribute on social media
  • Work with our PR agencies to develop editorial calendars, pitch topics
  • Determine ways to engage media in a creative way to generate media coverage
  • Identify and communicate with media outlets on social media
  • Assist with responding to customer & employee feedback online to help maintain a positive brand reputation



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of social media experience and brand reputation management.
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, journalism, or communication.
  • Outstanding marketing, organizational, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent marketing and project management competencies.
  • Operate with a high degree of strategic thinking, initiative, and dedication to results.
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of the blogosphere, social media and emerging social platforms and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social, Bambu, GaggleAMP, Graphic Design and Canva a plus.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
