Purpose:

The Content Marketing Specialist supports the Content Marketing team to produce and distribute the right content, to the right customer, at the right time. The CMS will also work closely with the marketing operations department to ensure timely delivery and clear communication on content projects.

We are looking for a savvy content specialist to support the content creation process for our brand, as defined by the Sr. Director of Content Marketing & Operations. As a content specialist, you will be interfacing with merchants and ecommerce to translate their needs into actionable content strategies. You will also be responsible for developing, executing. and managing a content repurposing strategy.

To ensure success as a content specialist, you should show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. A skilled content specialist should be expert storytellers and possess excellent knowledge of consumer content consumption trends.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years content marketing experience
  • Driven, social, and confident in interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Experience with social media writing preferred but not required
  • Experience with flooring or home improvement retail a plus
  • Excellent strategic planning, writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong creative drive
  • Flawless grammar and proofreading skills
  • Have an eye for relevant content topics in relation to brand awareness, prospecting, and conversion



Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate the development, design, and release of content with other writers and designers, ensuring all content is high-quality, up-to-date and consistent with brand and style guidelines
  • Assist content manager with both customer-facing and internal-facing content creation
  • Seamlessly toggle between multiple mediums and subject matter
  • Manage content video strategy
  • Digital content management
  • Lead Content Asset Strategist in regular content audits
  • Responsible for fact-checking of content assets
  • Script writing
  • Shared responsibilities in content creation with Content Marketing Writer
  • Proof work created by full time or contract writers



PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
