Esper is experiencing hyper growth! We’re the industry’s first DevOps SaaS platform designed to provide a simple, safe, and secure way for engineering and DevOps teams to release applications and manage smart Android devices. Our device infrastructure enables developer, mid-market orgs, and enterprise fleets of 100,000+ devices to deliver their software as a service. Esper has rapidly-growing global customer adoption among some of the world’s most innovative major brands in retail, hospitality, logistics, and healthcare.

As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll be at the helm of digital content for global technical decision makers, including both developers and CXOs. The successful candidate is ready to dive into collaboration with global colleagues, including technical product managers, product marketing managers, and marketing specialists who manage SEO, growth marketing, and performance measurement. Plus, you’ll work closely with technology subject matter experts (SMEs) from our DevOps and leadership teams.

Above all else, you should be an incredible storyteller with a proven success record writing about technical products. Bonus points if you’ve worked with developer experience (dX), MDM, Android, APIs, or related fields. You’ll learn the customer journey, their pain points, and their success criteria so you can create compelling content that builds trust and drives action.

The successful candidate can operate both autonomously and collaboratively to publish a high velocity of amazing content.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating content across many mediums - long form guides, blog posts, email copy, case studies, ad copy, video scripts, and more.
  • Driving outcomes. You not only write and facilitate the creation of technically accurate and powerful pieces of content, you think about how it will help prospects or customers on their journey.
  • Creating empathetic, tailored content based on audience personas, creative briefs, and company style guide.
  • Listening and synthesizing highly technical subject matter expertise and pulling out the most relevant information that will intrigue the customer.
  • Using your strong attention to detail. You ensure all content meets our quality standards.
  • Blending authorship and ghostwriting to support personal branding for yourself and our leadership team. Juggling multiple priorities, collaborating with many teammates and ensuring timely delivery. When you say something will be done, it’s done.
  • Thriving in fast-paced environments. We move fast. Your opinion matters. We have existing processes, but we’re quickly and want you to help us create systems that scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating sales content, partner content, PR, and/or technical product documentation.
  • Experience designing or scripting visual digital assets like infographics, wireframes, or video scripts.
  • Proven track record in managing global digital content or web experiences.
  • Interest or experience in editing content written by ESL authors.
  • Experience or willingness to collaborate with freelancers or content marketing agencies to scale up production volume without sacrificing relevance or quality.
  • A passion for online technical community content, including Reddit, Stack Overflow or Github.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing Journalism, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.

We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Preference is given to candidates in the greater Seattle area.
