Job summary
Good storytelling starts with great listening. At Audible, that means each role and every project has our audience in mind. Because the same people who design, develop, and deploy our products also happen to use them. To us, that speaks volumes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Content Marketing Associate Manager supports the execution of marketing campaigns for Audible's high-profile Original and Exclusive content releases, while managing appropriate expectations with all relevant stakeholders. Calling on the People Principles "Articulate The Possible and Move Fast To Make It Real", the role demands an ability to understand a robust content marketing strategy in order to flawlessly execute tactical efforts. This role will contribute to the development of marketing tactics for promotion of Exclusive and Original titles on and off the Audible/Amazon platforms, contributing to the development and execution of earned, owned and paid media plans, and above all, managing and overseeing seamless execution of title-specific campaigns. The Content Marketing Associate Manager will work cross-functionally with the Creative Services, Social Media, Editorial, PR, CRM, Content, and Operations teams to ensure an enticing and seamless customer journey is in place to drive optimized conversion.
ABOUT YOU
You have experience in marketing entertainment content with a solid understanding of consumer marketing and associated skillsets. You possess great project management and process management skills to achieve success. You have business sense, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively to execute quickly and effectively. You thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment where people are driven, enthusiastic, and not afraid to take risks.
As Content Marketing Associate Manager, you will...
  • Execute highly visible, go-to-market plans for Original and Exclusive programming properties, with a holistic eye on curating thoughtful multi-surface and multi-channel new and existing customer experiences.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across teams to deploy content marketing communications and promotions to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and increase long-term member retention.
  • Leverage the Amazon ecosystem to provide Audible and Amazon members with seamless, personalized experiences that drive acquisition and activations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Help develop creative briefs and strategic briefs for campaigns.
  • Own, track, update, and communicate deliverables lists for campaigns.
  • Monitor and mine the Originals catalog for titles that can be opportunistically promoted.
  • Manage implementation quality control to ensure all executions are done on time and correctly.
  • Assist on reporting and metrics data pre-, during, and post-flight.

Basic Qualifications
  • Multi-channel, consumer marketing experience.
  • Experience marketing entertainment content across paid media, organic social media marketing, and email marketing.
  • Significant experience with Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field of study required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related positions with increasing responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the proven ability to handle (and deliver on) multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and a problem-solver.
  • Passion for fiction and kids content, with a strong editorial sense and knack for identifying the "hook" for promoting a piece of content.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.

An Insider's view of Audible

What are some social events your company does?

Volunteering regularly is organic. It’s gratifying to help create opportunities for others and to know I share that common interest with the people I work with every day. I say it all the time, but it’s why I really love working here. Audible fosters and encourages contributing meaning beyond my day-to-day work. It’s in our company’s DNA.

Eliot

Senior Director, Tech Program Management

What projects are you most excited about?

We’re able to harness market-leading tools and datasets while benefiting from the employee experience made possible by Audible’s distinctive culture. To be able to employ cutting-edge machine learning technology with a mission is really unique. It’s a playground for us! Every day is a pretty unique opportunity; it doesn't happen everywhere.

Jiun

Director, Data Science

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

There is constant learning. Even with being here for 15 years, I’ve never felt bored, even for a single day. Every day I’m learning something new that keeps me going. I’ve been on the iOS team, Android team, the services side and now I’m leading the content publishing team. So, it’s end to end and always an opportunity to learn and grow.

Sailaja

Senior Director, Software Development

What unique initiatives do you have that encourage innovation?

A collaborative culture like ours fosters productive conversations that enable our team to deliver new ideas faster. We go into meetings and have healthy debates with diverse, and sometimes strong, opinions. But we always think about what's right for the customer. Experimentation is critical. We have to move, fail, and innovate fast.

Sureshmi

VP, Product Management

How does the company support your career growth?

I’ve seen a lot of my colleagues shift from different roles within QA. Audible provides incredible opportunities for engineers to grow their skills, from soft skills through training to grow professionally. A lot of opportunities exist, and our mentorship program has really facilitated that.
