We need world-class content that inspires entrepreneurs to help grow their businesses.  To that end, you’ll be writing blog posts, content offers (ebooks, case studies, courses, etc.) emails, repurposing content into multiple formats and helping to scale our content efforts!

What you'll love about this role... 

  • Educating people about marketing topics and social media marketing by researching and writing engaging and authoritative blog posts multiple times a week.
  • Creating in-depth downloadable content, checklists and guides that people love and return to again and again 
  • Writing for our email newsletter, which is distributed to hundreds of thousands of members excited to learn more about marketing
  • Coordinating with the whole Tailwind team to support product launches, drive towards company goals and make our members love us
  • Creating solid promotion plans for the content you write to get as many eyes on your content as possible. You’ll be collaborating with and providing ideas to our marketing team members in social media, paid ads, and inbound just to name a few! 
  • Repurposing blog content as slideshares, social posts, emails, creating webinars, etc. (bring your ideas!)

  • Copywriting for social posts, tailored for audiences based on platform (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook)

Key skills and experience...

  • 2+ years experience working as a content marketer, copywriter, or editor
  • A deep understanding of and passion for marketing. Strong enough that you can teach it through writing, video, and in person
  • Experience adhering to a fast-paced editorial calendar which includes blog posts, multimedia content, social posts, emails, offers, white papers etc. 
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword research
  • A proven ability to promote the content you write. You’re the kind of content marketer who realizes that you’re only halfway done when you hit publish

  • Open to feedback, direction, and edits of your work - eager to learn and grow
  • You’re curious about marketing tactics inside and outside of content, and always interested in expanding your skill set.
  • A natural communicator and educator, able to work well via Slack and Google Hangouts with team members across multiple time zones
  • Organized and able to follow through on multiple projects concurrently
  • An authentic, positive and energetic team-player 
  • Able to understand and solve the biggest challenges of marketers and to present Tailwind as a helpful part of the solution. 
  • Passionate about becoming a world-class marketer, and helping others to as well
  • Empathetic and committed to empowering our members to build their businesses with the best marketing advice available
  • Able to understand and accurately convey latest industry statistics and platform feature releases

Bonus points for...

  • The ability to use a variety of marketing channels to get your content seen
  • Design skills with Sketch, Photoshop and/or online creation platforms (Canva, Easil, Tailwind Create)
  • Familiarity with Wordpress and blog publishing/ formatting plugins (Elementor, Shortcoder, OptinMonster, Webflow)
  • Experience with:guest posting and building backlinks
  • Understanding of Ecommerce marketing
  • Understanding of content marketing strategy
  • Ability to conduct case study interviews
  • Experience at a Software as a Service (SaaS) company
  • Ability to use data to conduct and present original studies
