Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.
Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States.
The opportunity
Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Consumer Public Relations Manager to join our Communications team and play a critical role in accelerating the public’s awareness and adoption of Grammarly’s consumer-focused offerings. Working closely with Grammarly’s Senior Public Relations Manager, this role will be responsible for executing key product launches and news moments; scaling and overseeing storytelling programs; driving thought leadership; building relationships with key consumer and tech reporters; and developing a sound strategy that reinforces Grammarly as a leader in AI-powered writing assistant technology. The Consumer PR Manager will liaise closely with Grammarly’s Product Marketing and Content Strategy teams to create and lead integrated marketing campaigns.
Your impact
As Consumer Public Relations Manager, you will be critical in connecting Grammarly’s brand and consumer product offerings to the cultural zeitgeist. You’ll develop and drive a narrative that reinforces how Grammarly keeps the user at the center, helping to solve the real communication needs of millions of people worldwide.
In this first-ever dedicated consumer public relations role at Grammarly, you will get the opportunity to build from scratch, try new tactics, and see the work through successful completion. It’s ideal for someone looking to drive impactful consumer PR strategies for a high-growth, successful AI company with a meaningful mission.
- In your first 30 days, you will dive deep into company strategy and business goals, familiarize yourself with past PR campaigns and current consumer media relations efforts, and learn about Grammarly’s content strategy and product roadmap. You will also begin building relationships with key cross-functional team members.
- Within 60 days, you will assume ownership of day-to-day consumer media relations, create measurable consumer PR plans that support business goals, and begin relationship-building with key reporters. You will also build a press kit to act as a single source of truth.
- In your first 90 days, you will kick off several developed consumer PR strategies and contribute to the PR rolling annual plan, evaluate the role of events and awards in brand-building, and define Grammarly’s long-term consumer public relations vision.
