By creating compelling content and marketing programs, our goal is to engage internal and external audiences in our value proposition and corporate narrative in order to drive long-term, double-digit growth.

Job Brief:

The Conference Social Media Specialist is responsible for working with the Conference Social Media Manager to build awareness of Gartner's conference portfolio through a content-rich program of organic social media promotion. This will involve creating, publishing, and monitoring social content across all platforms, assisting with live stream Q&A analyst interviews and conference presentations, and continuously improving the impact of the overall conference social media program based on key performance metrics. The Conference Social Media Specialist will work closely with the broader Social Media team to ensure alignment within the center of excellence and partner closely with the Conference Marketing team to positively contribute to the success of their most critical priorities.

What You Will do:

  • Execute on Gartner's conference organic social media strategy to drive attendee registrations and brand awareness by creating pre-conference social media content and engaging with stakeholders on social media during flagship conferences to support the attendee experience, whether remotely or in person.
  • Create and schedule organic social media plans to promote each global conference across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Write and create always-on dynamic content to promote conferences including creative concepts for videos, gifs, and social cards.
  • Partner with manager to provide "on-site" social media coverage at 1-3 flagship conferences a year.
  • Maintain team best practices documents, trainings, the process documentation for business partners.
  • Act as liaison to the conference operations team to coordinate live social feeds for the Gartner Conference Mobile application and the on-site digital signage.
  • Assist with Gartner's live stream program on LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube to drive brand awareness for Gartner conferences through monitoring and reporting.
  • Work with the conference technical team and the speaker team to coordinate live streams to LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube of Gartner keynotes and guest keynotes.
  • Create a quarterly reporting pack to report on the programs key metrics and provide conference social media recap reports globally, as well as plan specific metric reports.

What You Will Need:

  • 1-3+ years' experience with social media experience and/or events marketing.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred: Business, Marketing, Communication, Writing/Journalism).
  • Demonstrated experience in social media / and or events marketing.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in writing creative content for social media.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Travel required (as conferences transition to in-person): up to 15%.
  • Interest in data-driven decision making.
