Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Community Curator who can help build and deliver community-based projects and programs within the marketing team and be a critical contributor to building Route’s local presence and awareness within the Los Angeles community.
This is a detail oriented, cross functional role that requires a unique combination of marketing experience, relationship management, project management, communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Cultural programming - help to identify LA-based event programming concepts (industry dinners, immersive events, workshops, performances, etc.) that highlight and continue to build Route’s creator and brand partnerships network.
- Content creation - assist in content creation that helps bring to life campaigns and events across social media and other marketing channels.
- Strategic partnerships - identify and secure relevant partnerships around cultural moments and with like-minded communities
- Community development - establish relationships between local start-ups, cultural institutions, non-profit organizations and other communities to develop a robust community program strategy and assure that Route is well-known within relevant industry and creator communities.
- Ensure community expansion by reinforcing a positive image of the brand and creating conversations.
- Identify and execute opportunities to engage with our community and generate conversations and awareness.
- Maintain event invites and contact database.
- Work cross-functionally and closely with all of the consumer marketing team including Experiences, Talent and Brand Partnerships.
- Create proposals in Google Slides
- Monitor competitors, market and communities activities to highlight best practices, emerging trends and activation ideas
Qualifications
- A strong network of personal relationships in Los Angeles across entertainment, technology, creators, start-ups and brands
- 5+ years experience in community development
- Strong communication skills and able to create creative content
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Google Drive and online suite of programs, Google Slides, Excel, Monday, Airtable, or other project management tools
- Experience managing agencies and contractors
- Experience working within existing community or membership-based organizations is a plus
- Have an enthusiastic, generous, nimble and hands-on approach
