What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a talented and strategic communications professional who brings creativity, experience, executive presence, and a collaborative nature to their work. The senior manager, Regional Communications plans an important role in the company, directly supporting the top regions in the U.S. with their media and community relations.

As part of the Global Corporate Communications team, this is a unique opportunity to create and implement the program to support Prologis teams in the regional markets with media, speaking opportunities and other public relations activities.

The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the company and work collaboratively with people at all levels. This person will also have the confidence and demonstrated experience of creating and maintaining strong relationships with members of the media and can develop and pitch stories in support of business objectives and growing brand awareness. They will also have demonstrated experience with outside-the-box PR thinking and strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive cohesive messaging across a variety of U.S. markets, while responding to unique customer needs in different regions.
  • Work with regional leaders, create tailored regional plans tied to business priorities and goals, while maintaining alignment with global messaging and objectives.
  • Establish coverage in various media outlets including print, broadcast & social media.
  • Track, monitor & measure media coverage on traditional, digital & social channels.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing on speaking engagement activities, including recommending spokespeople, prepping executives, communicating with event organizers, and tracking results. Continue to build and manage executive thought leadership in the Americas.
  • Work with local marketing teams to increase communication and collaboration of brand promotion activities.
  • Manage local PR agency resources.

To Be Successful, You will:

  • Bring 8-10 years of relevant experience in media/PR – focus in Real Estate, Commercial Development, Finance, Community Affairs or Public Affairs a plus.
  • Excel in understanding how newsrooms work and a successful track record of relationships with regional reporters.
  • Have excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels, including executives.
  • Have experience working in or managing a PR agency.
  • Bring strong organizational skills along with relationship building and time management skills.
  • Have the ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, balance numerous projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines and effectively work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be willing to pitch in and help the team on all projects to meet critical deadlines.
  • Be able to work independently - but confident enough to ask for guidance and input when needed.
