Communications Manager
Job Description
NielsenIQ’s Senior Manager of Communications is a position on the NielsenIQ Global Marketing and Communications team. This person will play a central role in setting the strategy and scaling best practices for internal and customer communications as NielsenIQ deploys the Connect platform to our clients in the U.S. They will own or contribute to direct communications from NielsenIQ (emails, presentations, touchpoints) and indirect communications through our cross-functional teams as we upscale our clients’ experience with Connect in the U.S.
Great opportunity for an internal candidate, especially from a U.S. commercial or client-facing Operations team or related area. The role will be fully remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with deployment, product marketing, sales enablement, operations, change management/training, and customer success teams to develop best-of-breed communications strategies that deliver an optimal customer experience during critical product deployments.
Develop, scale and execute materials and toolkits that effectively and consistently communicate to customers and stakeholders to help them maximize the impact of our products.
Develop communications that engage, influence, and inform to help people manage through change.
Contribute to customer references and other marketing strategies that support product adoption and demand generation.
Ensure all brand guidelines and standards remain consistent in all client communications.
Ideate and execute creative ideas that reflect our brand and culture.
Consistently demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills with a solid understanding of the customer perspective
Prepare the company for future deployments as our products scale globally
Mentor junior associates
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or a related field; master’s degree a plus.
5+ years experience working in a communications, customer success, sales, or customer-facing operations role
Exceptional knowledge of the NielsenIQ Connect product suite, deployment process, and client relationships
Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills required
Previous experience working on cross‐functional teams, often in multiple locations preferred
Experience in change management and/or leading stakeholders through change a plus
Adept at interacting and engaging with senior executives
Must be intellectually curious and collaborative, “humble, hungry and smart,” with a strong work ethic
